Gohsj89 1st Gear November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Anyway to be fair, no offence for a tyre to be lousy. It's wrong for a sales person to misled a customer and company have no intention of compensating. ↡ Advertisement
Luckcent 4th Gear November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Would you mind sharing on how to find this good in wet? For me, of course I am not talking about going 100KM/H all these..But going at 100km/h it's so obvious to me the car is floating. Driving thru puddle of water, steering needs to hold on tightly because definatly it will pull to one side and you need to counter back. Note: Try entering PIE Change from Corporation Road, some bros would know. I had an encounter changing lane to the left at 70km/h, went thru a puddle of water, the car pulled to the right side vigorously when exiting to Jurong Town Hall Road.. Almost hit a car! I have been using these tyres for already 2 years and not once did my car go to any side of the road. Went up north a few times and even up to Genting in the wet overtaking cars at the bends and it still hold well. So I do not know whether its the tyres or the car is good. Did travel over 100 km/hr too in the wet during trip up north and its good to go. After using all these while the thread still looks good.
Luckcent 4th Gear November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Previously using K415 on another car also good too, but this time it does not have the size for my present car so change to ME01 because I dont like directional tyres.

Ooosh 1st Gear November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 What is your tyre size and width? These make a difference.....cant compare based on tyre make and model....
Ooosh 1st Gear November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 passed by the shop at ubi last week. decided to visit the shop. I parked my exora outside the shop, I think the staff asked to move it else where...then i parked further in front. After that, went to see whether there are any used rims for my new exora...to my surprise, no one served me and left me spent my time looking and wandering the shop...anyway, didn't do any exchange...so drove off with my family... Stop acting like some snoobish guy who think people own you a living....sometimes not because they dont want to serve you is because it is not their company culture. You walk in to Autobacs see tyres and rims got people serve you bo? No right....not very difficult to open mouth and say "Excuse me" right?

I don't know where he worked before Horizon Auto.
carma1965 1st Gear May 15, 2015 Share May 15, 2015 i decide to search for top93 again after another friend feedback to me his experience a frw days ago. seems like they have a little bit of history. for me i was there with my 5series a few months ago. yes they sell some expensive original wheels but so do every other shops. what i dont like is the sales person being pushy and not straight with the answer. yes the boss act like some big shot.. that is their style, we have a choice, i went somewhere else lor. Ag3000 Neutral Newbie January 30, 2018 Share January 30, 2018 Point No. 1: Goodness knows whether you ran 3k or 10k in the three months you had the tyre. RFT not popular in Singapore, plus he still has to make a profit selling your tires. If I were you, I'll be laughing and taking the deal. Point No. 2: You have not told us the size of the tyre or the rims that he recommended you. For your info, there are used rims out there that are $2200 plus tires, even if it is used. A friend of mine recently changed to a second hand 18 in rims, and with fresh tires, it did cost him almost 3k. Point No. 3: Quite a number of us have dealt with the man in question. I have never bought anything from the shop, but my friends have and I have also enquired on prices before. At no time have they ever been rude to me or my friends. In fact, they offer some of the most competitive prices around. I got my set of Pilot Super Sport from another supplier at a lower price because of the price that Top93 was selling at. Top 93 and its staff weren't rude at any point, I changed somewhere else because Ubi was a little far from me. Don't need to point out whether your son bought a BMW by himself or not. I have never asked for money from my parents in terms of car buying or car expenses. It doesn't make me any different. Respect is mutual. For a company and its staff who are known for decent service to behave in such a manner, either there's something you're not telling us or maybe it might not be the truth. My two cents worth. Even after 5-6 years, this comment made me purposely created this account here just reply to this andrefool. What’s wrong of the OP saying his son bought the car by himself? Anyone here officially states additional info is not welcomed? If you are not a father or not proud of your son’s achievements, be it big or small, that’s your own opinion of course. kschan 3rd Gear October 12, 2023 Share October 12, 2023 Just got carrot chop head by this Top93 workshop, I went in and asked for assistance to fix my under engine carriage cover as it was loose. The mechanic was very helpful and ok helped me to fix 2 cable ties and screws. So I was thinking he will said free, no need lah, then I already prepared 10 bucks to pay him, but guess what when I asked him how much, he said 20.00!!!! Fugg, CARROT HEAD SHOP ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 SCREWS AND 2 CABLE TIES for 20 BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 mins job. I told him I will give him a BAD REVIEW, and he replied to me ARROGANTLY, GO AHEAD AND THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair to the workshop, they are a business after all with rentals and overheads. How come some restaurants charge a few dollars for mineral water when you can get it for $0.30 at Sheng Siong? Similar explanations. Edited October 12, 2023 by Davidklt 1

Okay la rentals and overheads, let's be reasonable and fair. 2 screws, 2 cable ties, 5 mins of your time. you charge 20!! I cannot imagine if u change something else in this workshop, nuff said. You were prepared to pay (prep $10 before hand), but you were not prepared to pay the price the workshop asked for. 2. Like the earlier reply, next time juz ask for what the job cost 3. May look like a simple 5min job for u, raw materials of 2 screw and 2 cable ties costing <$20 4. But can see from the photo that the mechanic required to jack up your car for easier access/see properly 5. Just take it that you're paying the workshop for the ROI of their jacks, after all they may be helpful, but definitely not running a charity ↡ Advertisement
