Non-stop nagging....

 

Just keep bombarding us. Come on, we are not as gullible as 10 years ago la. :angry:

 

Anyway, we are not against foreigners coming in. Truth be told, we need foreigners to do those construction work, road work, cleaning work, manufacturing work, etc. Those that are more lowly skilled. These are the jobs that Singaporeans simply won't want to do.

 

What we are against are those foreigners competing with us for those Professional, Manager, Executive, Technical (PMET) jobs. They come here work, get PR then fight with us for housing, etc. That's why our property price went up so much.

If everybody's life gets better when we have bigger population,then i have nothing to say.

Even support and say go for it.But truth is not so.

More so that it is for fear of survival as a nation and probably some selfish motives.

That i cannot agree as a human being.

That's one of reasons our up there is said to have no human rights.With such orientation.

No one s disputing the fact tat singapore is very small, n indeed we need them. But, look around us, Australa, NZ and HK, which of them treat citizens like sai??? As compare to PRs? Their have a open door policy too, BUT, a very stringent n 1 that makes sense, their own citizen first, then foreigners.

 

Try seeking PR n apply for govt housing in HK. They ask u go fly kite or easier, go singapore try.

 

How many times must we tell you. WE ARE NOT AGAINST FT!!! We do need them BUT pls do your blody job as our govt. and that is WE first!!! I doubt you really get it.

I agree with you. I also not against foreigners, if they import quality foreigners and have a set of stringent policy in giving out PR and citizenship. But i seriously dont think this is what they are doing currently?! <_<

Surely i will remember all these when 2016 arrives.

4 more years to 2016 GE, dont think you will remember what they said in 2012. Also when nearer to the GE, once they give some carrot out, everyone of us will forget totally on what they said in 2012. [rolleyes]

Frankly Im OK with more foreigners as long as the infrastructures allow and inter-ministries work together to anticipate and solve potential bottleneck. Not doing reactive work. However...........hiaz......

I just want to know his points on maids as he continues to chase others for replies. There is no one who disagree that there will be families who need maids in this thread, so I guess he must have some outstanding new points to share. I just would like to know these points.

 

Look at below...

Yalor.... build the flat, roads and public transport infrastructure before u bring them in... not after.... that would lessen a lot of the grieviences

same like some folks who keep bashing the gahmen for bringing in foreigners and yet they themselves hire maid.. hire FW... etc

 

wrong.... foreign workers are ok as we had them since the 80s in the maid and constructions industries....

 

the point now is this PAP damm smart in switch the word from Talent to worker.... in reality, what they meant is bring in more foreign talent to lure the foreign entities to invest in the country.

LHL last week said no problem with 6 million people, then this morning MTI said we need more foreigners. Then now LKY said we need more foreign workers. Wow!

 

they are trying to hint us that the 800k imports are all fw [:p][laugh]:D

I guess most stance is if the Foreign import is a talent, then there is usually no issues.

 

There are 2 class of imports we must distinguish between - Foreign worker and foreign talent

 

Also some points worth to consider - are locals able to stand a chance (in terms of wages) with the foreigners? Why do we demand higher wages?

In certain industries, it is largely dominated by foreigners from the TOP to the middle management, any idea why?

Why can the foreigners demand lower wages as compared to us?

Looking from this perspective, why are we mostly attracting only so called talents largely from India, China or Philipines wheras not from the great land of the West?

 

 

I do not in any way feel that locals are inferior, but the factors and circumstances placed is making locals greatly at a disadvantage.

An example, any idea why IT is largely dominated by our friends from India?

Are they truly good?
