I got a Seiko mechanical watch that up lorry. It's not able to move though I shake it :(

Warranty over Liao.

Any recommended watch shop that I can bring for repair and not be a carrot head?

It's a Xmas gift, so got sentimental value

Read a blog that there is a shop in Katong shopping center. Think it is better than going back to agent. Let me see if can find that blog again.

Better bring back to Thong Sia, the Seiko agent.

I try not to. Agent chop carrot..... :(

The watch cost about $350. Not sure how much will agent charge. I may call them first

A lot of seiko enthusiast would recommend Mr Goh at K2 watch company

His shop usually becomes a meeting ground for seiko club forumers during the weekend.

Yeoman (who is a seiko nut) also recommends him alot.

I have been there a few times myself. Damn nice guy and his quotes are reasonable.

PS: What watch is it?

Is it worth repairing this watch?

Thanks for the Mr Goh. I will check him out.

Yep i followed the same recommendation and repaired my Seiko Sportura at K2 last year. Reasonable price and more importantly the problem was rectfied. Still wearing it everyday now. The shop doesn't look like much (which is abt the same that can be said of the shopping centre itself), but gets the job done fuss free.

If sentimental value, go repair bro (but do tell him it has sentimental value).

If not, then it may be cheaper (and less painful) to buy a new one.

:D

Knowing Ah Goh, his pricing will be super reasonable one.... :D

take it back to ThongSia (Seiko Agent)

It's not expensive and it's the best.

Bro, agent servicing is this type of price.. min $60 to open yr watch, excluding parts. I got a Citizen that my wife bought me in 1996 for $185.. over the years, I have spent more than $600 for serving, parts replacement.

Last service I bring in, watch bezal spoilt, cannot change bezel alone, got to change entire titanium casing cost $245 (New watch cost $260 for same model).. I also change it.. bec like u say, got sentimental value
