Forrestcat 2nd Gear April 14, 2013 Share April 14, 2013 Roc drivers definitely more agressive, mostly young upstarts. Some even wanna "race" me . I usually cant be bothered.

Throttle2 Supersonic April 14, 2013 Share April 14, 2013 Yupp...my sentiments exactly (not specifically directed to any make/model drivers) . I'd just ignore them and just let them have their 2 secs ego trip. I have nothing to prove to risk other's life and limb nor my licence(s). Bottom line is enjoy your ride, no need to compare with others la. one man's meat is another's poison after all. Last Friday(12/4) night's VOCS meet-up at West Coast Park carpark 2, 8.30pm Sorry for the blurred image. it was dark and using phone cam. (the other velosters were parked on the opposite lots) Total 12 cars , 18 souls 1 Apple Green, 1 Vitamin C, 2 Boston Red,3 Electric Blue , 3 Sunflower Yellow, 2 Matte Grey , Wah lucky i didnt go to west coast, otherwise get skinned by Veloster gang....heh heh
Hairisg76 1st Gear April 16, 2013 Share April 16, 2013 Wah lucky i didnt go to west coast, otherwise get skinned by Veloster gang....heh heh Lol... no la, vocs members are all a friendly bunch. i dun think we would mind making friends with other make/model drivers. we even have a very respected committe member who is not driving a veloster. :) in my humble opinion, veloster buyers bought it for the unique design and styling (interior and exterior) rather than the power . There are even some who didn't even do a test drive... booked the car after just 5 minutes of looking at the car in the showroom (although some may disagree about the looks but i dun think their opinion matters). ..and most are contented. And yupp..we have nothing to prove by racing. (actually i dun even understand this childish anti-social behavior). ps: if you happen to drive by during our meet-ups , feel free to approach us. we can never have enuff friends. :)

Karnaugh Neutral Newbie April 16, 2013 Share April 16, 2013 My test drive was pretty comprehensive, being in media and knowing Jeff. It was a fair statement, no offense. Depends on how you look at it. I am disappointed because the VT looks fierce, perhaps too fierce for its lacklustre performance, at stock. On the flipside, its a complement because it does looks fierce isn't it? I cannot pinpoint exactly what is disappointing because I am no motoring editor. I can only comment on the overall experience. My fault, I shouldn't compare it with my daily ride then, because it is a baseless comparison. Overtime, I had forgotten how my stock ride feels like. Sure, we all know its no EVO nor STi - I'm not power hungry for one too. Could easily have afforded it, no big deal - if I was a petrolhead. Anyway buddy, car ownership is a personal thing, you bought your ride, be happy about it - why would you wanna justify the purchase by saying *at this price it is a stella performer* blah blah blue.. no point right? Even with a roc, frankly stock to stock, a VT feels better.... no comparision to that. I would be happy to try a modded VT... that would really put apples against apples cheers Don't mind me if I point out that your statements are contradictory. Isn't it the same as your ride slapping on the Type R badge with performance no where as near as its predecessors? And if you are not power hungry why go for performance mods such as cams? Please enlighten me because till now I cannot figure out what drivers like you are thinking in your mind.

Please enlighten me because till now I cannot figure out what drivers like you are thinking in your mind. Dude, you've probably not driven a FN2R before, correct? As in longer term. At stock, a FN's ecu settings is damn idiotic, that cannot be felt when you test drive it. Pick up sucks, car feels heavy and its just..arrrgh. Along the way, I made friends with fellow FN drivers, I tried their cars and wanted more power for mine (that doesn't make me a power hungry petrolhead, just that I am not satisfied with its performance at stock). with a reflashed ecu comes the needs for hardware mods which gave me increased power of 60bhp and torque (can't rem how much). I did not mention I don't mod my car, just that I'm not power hungry, cuz if I was, I would have swapped my engine long ago. I hope you're enlightened now? Its pretty simple actually, don't confuse yourself too much, it could be stressful.
