Not sure what you expected. Not much difference between Base and S in terms of what you are looking "inside". But S exhaust note is damn good and this takes away the game.

My neighbour drives a stock Macan S. Heard her start the engine before. No vroom, quite quiet leh.

But another neighbour's Panamera... Now that sounds something

If you want sound, Porsche is not the marque.

is the general maintenance cost of a Macan higher vs a BMW M car? That is after those 5 year warranty and maintenance BS.

Porsche maintenance is not too expensive

Turbocharged

Panamera start-up has the ommph factor.

I agree that the macan base and macan S does not posses the ommh after cranking the car. Maybe the Macan Turbo has it?

Get a maserati for sound

Sound is not what Porsche excels in

Porsche, especially the 911, excels as a load carrier. Can carry lots of stuff  :a-happy: hehehe..

True. In S, cold start sound is much better than few minutes later after startup. As you might know, there are lot of factors including Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE) setup which can considerably increase.

V12 is the best Davidtch says so...

Is it advisable to get the AIR SHOCKS in a Porky?  Rides like MERC-S Class.

Air Scocks with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) package is for more than 10K for S model. I did not opt for it. Again I did not want it for my street driving in Singapore. If you feel you will do off road or tracking, you may consider.

As bro T2 recommended, if you want Air Shocks for comfort, Mercedes does it much better.
