"Literally" haha. Is this your panamera? Is this a common problem for this model? What should I look out for when purchasing one? Will appreciate with any comments Thanks! ↡ Advertisement

Just want to know how is the car treating the driver in the sense of fuel consumption, comfort and any typical problems of this model that one should look out for etc. Actually, why I choose to buy a COE car is because I purely just want to try it out for maybe a year or 2, before I move on to try R8. Congrats! Ours are 4-year-old and low mileage, hence not a lot of issues other than normal wear and tear. I also sent the car back a few times for update/recall. Please post pics when it arrives. BarneyBoo Neutral Newbie July 20, 2020 Share July 20, 2020 Hi gurus, new to this forum. Just bought a used warranty just ended Macan S. Need some advice : 1. I presume for extended warranty, need to go back to stuggart for all servicings etc. 2. Extended warranty covers only electronics, engine and PDK? 3. Is it worth it for the extended warranty or I’m better off Saving the $4k plus for repairs. Any advice or workshop recommendations highly appreciated. Thanks! But for all that money, the report wasn't very professionally done. They may be more keen on $$$. This, despite the fact that my dad (who intro-ed me) had a long standing relationship with the boss from Ngo Hock and Stuttgart days. My classic Porsche enthusiast friend swears by another place in Carros centre: First Auto. Look for Ah Fai or Robin. You can PM me for the contact. I've met them (I test drove a 996 manual turbo for sale at their place), very nice and competent chaps.my friend's blue 964 (up for sale now) was fully restored by them. Care to share what were the "ton of faults" encountered? What might be the important red-flags that a PPI might turn up for a 997.2 C2 (since there's no IMS or rear main seal issue, and only a minute chance of bore scoring)? My guess would be engine or PDK GB leaks? Thanks. ADD: if inconvenient, can answer via PM also. Edited July 28, 2020 by jacked

It was more a case of many many small things including leaking steering knuckles/ball joints etc. rather than one big ticket item. It could also have been Weissach just anyhow padding the bill, ostensibly to "help me" negotiate but if I'd brought it back to them to fix, it might have cost that much. That was a 997 turbo (non S), FYI, not a C2. I passed on the car, it didn't feel special enough to accept all the imperfections. I got an F430 a bit later (but I sold that too lol). So did you commit to one in the end? Am also considering to get a COE 970 3.6, but concerned bout the running costs and any inspection before parting with the cash. Hence want to see if anyone has similar experience.
