ChristopherBong Neutral Newbie February 28, 2016 Share February 28, 2016 The Mazda MX 5 is a drivers' car, not complicated, basic and very reliable. I own the NC and all it need is regular servicing. Best describe as the most luxurious go cart you can buy.
Vratenza Supersonic November 26, 2017 Share November 26, 2017 Does it make sense to get the MX5 in 2018?
ER-3682 Twincharged November 26, 2017 Share November 26, 2017 Does it make sense to get the MX5 in 2018? If you can fit in why not.?I am too fat to feel comfort in that car.
RadX Moderator November 26, 2017 Share November 26, 2017 Does it make sense to get the MX5 in 2018? Go for it bro...its a great car for zipping around. Loved my NC when I had it and kept it for a good 7 years
Watwheels Supersonic November 27, 2017 Share November 27, 2017 Does it make sense to get the MX5 in 2018? What sense are you saying? Financial sense is out the window when you buy a car. What other sense, I can't think of any. This kinda car to me the most important thing is that it must be a manual transmission. I have watched a number of Youtube videos on this car. Really envy the ppl who can swap the Mazda engine with a Chevy V8 small block....on the latest model, not those older mx5. The sound and drive looks really good. It's something like the AC Cobra with a modern twist (with aircon and original Mazda headunit working) since it's too ex to get the classic Cobra. Somewhat get where they are coming from. The chassis, the handling, mated to a V8 and a stick shift. Must be automotive heaven/porn. There are also a number of bolt-on supercharger kit for the power hungry who force induce every car. Not necessary since there's its sibling the Fiat 124 Spider. But dunno which PI can bring it in here.
Eyke Supercharged November 27, 2017 Share November 27, 2017 need to test drive to see if u like it. i drove the latest model, didn't like the light steering at all.
Vratenza Supersonic November 27, 2017 Share November 27, 2017 VES and 2.0L NA skyactive emission on a 1tonne car sense? I guess it is still money sense... TBH, those that swap in a heavy monster of an engine don't understand MX5 or appreciate it's purpose....upsets the handling which I doubt any amount of tunning of the suspension can correct. Vratenza Supersonic November 27, 2017 Share November 27, 2017 I tested the last generation model, quite like the driving feel. Just that the interior abit flimsy. This generation looks better from peering into the cars I saw at carparks. need to test drive to see if u like it.i drove the latest model, didn't like the light steering at all.
