Elfenstar 3rd Gear September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 (edited) Well, maybe but they definitely taking the road now. Brothers and Sisters, presenting the Singapore Ultimate Motocycle...ops...sorry, it is the Motocycar...on 8 sep morning at Bras Basah/SMU area. Looks like a Motobike (have a motor, have side rear mirrors, have storage box at the back), Ride like a Bicycle (have pedals), Move like a Car (riding/driving in the middle of car lane). He was traveling along Selegie Road towards Bras Basah Road (Bencoolen road closed so there is this single lane created on Selegie Road for vehicles to drive towards Fort canning). He was riding in the middle of the lane, gave him a light horn to alert that I was behind, he horned back, overtook at the light (as in the photo below). Then he turned left behind the blue truck into Bras Basah Road. No helmet, check. Thats really about it. He's allowed to be on your right if he was overtaking you. He's also allowed to be off the left if he was turning right after. Btw do you know that ALL vehicles are supposed to keep as close to the left of the lane as possible? Do you as a car driver do that? P.S. Is it me or were you using your handphone while driving? Exif data shows that you were using an iphone 4S Edited September 9, 2012 by Elfenstar ↡ Advertisement

Tayv 1st Gear September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 (edited) Cyclist has the right-er of way. Cyclist who also owns and drives a car has the right-est of way. Edited September 9, 2012 by Tayv
Nzy Twincharged September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 the first video is just to show how danger if those cyclist ride on the road in a not so well lighted area.... The second video, if you watch from the start..the cyclist did not ride on the most left side/corner of the road but in between the two lane.. the white car zoom passed me and have to siam the cyclist. and yes, he did not give signal by hand that he want to do a right turn. If you can't see the cyclists in the first video clearly then maybe you need to stop driving cuz its dangerous. Second video its not wrong for him to cycle there as he is turning right. He doesn't need to signal if he is in the lane already. If not you expect him to cycle with one hand all the way till he turns right?

Ngck 3rd Gear September 9, 2012 Share September 9, 2012 When Sheares Bridge is downgraded, i intend to climb it on my bike come to think of it, how long can a bridge last? 50-100-200 years? before it needs a total replacement.
Samlimlp 2nd Gear September 19, 2012 Share September 19, 2012 Nowadays, there are more and more big bikes on the road.......and I do get to see these bikes occupying parking lots meant for cars. Is this legal ?
Holy_sniper Neutral Newbie September 20, 2012 Share September 20, 2012 Perfectly legal in both your pics. I think you need to brush up on your road rules instead of making yourself look stupid I am a cyclist, and since when is a cyclist allowed to cycle on flyovers, viaducts and underground tunnel? Darryn Turbocharged September 20, 2012 Share September 20, 2012 Wonder these are new breed of vehicle...Bicycar? This one going into the Braddell road tunnel towards Toa Payoh/Bishan And then? Elfenstar 3rd Gear September 20, 2012 Share September 20, 2012 I am a cyclist, and since when is a cyclist allowed to cycle on flyovers, viaducts and underground tunnel? Always actually. The only roads cyclists aren't allowed on are expressways.
Leo72 6th Gear September 20, 2012 Share September 20, 2012 Bicycle lane by all means. Please also register number plate and insurance. I support you on this with the additional that cyclist should at least take some basic highway code test to get license.
Qpik Supercharged December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 (edited) With so many measures implemented to make road safer for cyclists, I am experiencing series of potential fatal accidents along particular stretch of road near my place. The latest being a group of cyclists occupying extreme left lane and decked out in dark coloured clothing, some without helmets and one even pulled a stunt by letting going of his handle bar and pedal and almost strayed into second lane. To top it off, they blatantly beat red light. If there were vehicle coming from the opposite direction, we would easily have 5 dead cyclists and innocent driver in the headlines. Too bad my recorder wasn't switched on, if not I could have send it to TP (not that they can do anything about it but to show that cyclists are becoming King of the Road!) and pray they will make it a point to patrol these areas.
