Dear all, if there are 2 right turn lane, please make full use of them, you will definitely have chance to change lane to left after turning, stop being so selfish by creating a single file. You deprive others of a chance to cross the fast changing traffic light...

It is a good point. But, since most of lack in the basic courtesy, a typical situation often arises.

 

1. Cars often take up the straight cum right lane to turn right (worst is without indicators). Buses and lorries we can understand. But, I do not understand why cars to take that long radius lanes?

 

2. Having said that, in case a car has to take immediate left after taking right, the ones on the left would not give way to this car. That is why most of the drivers take the second row leaving the first row blank all the time.

I will not argue for point 2 if it's immediate left after taking right, but at my place here, after the right turn, it will be another 400m or more before turning left. I always take the inner right turn lane and never fail to keep myself change lane to extreme left after that right turn.

 

What is more fuming is that those on the outer right turn lane sometimes are not turning left after the turn as well! Are some Singapore cars not equip with power steering or their hand made of lead....

 

Sorry for the rant, I guess on the other hand, I should control my temper in this situation....

Think one good example is eunos link turning right into airport road --> KPE.

 

Majority of the cars turning right will keep to the 2nd lane from right, as there is the likelihood there is a queue waiting to go into KPE along airport road. If you don't go in fast, you end up having to find a gap in the front, or stop at the 2nd lane waiting for people to give way, causing a congestion. This is especially so during rush hour around 6pm+.

the traffic light for the entrance to the tunnel is the culprit.they should replace the traffic light with a zebra crossing.now they are using 2 traffic light there,1 for tunnel entrance another 1 for straight road to air force museum.dont know which scholar comes up with all the stupid ideas.

It would be risky cause driver might not stop in time for predestrians. If fact, there should be another traffic light for u turn from outside plab to KPE tunnel->tpe.

That is the reason why que often so long at lentor ave right turn to yishun ave 1.

There are 3 lanes right turn but the que move slowly.

If your car wasnt meant to use signal lights, why is it there? Might as well tell the dealer to give you discount since you dont have a habit of using them!
