Got myself a 4.3" 42LM, supposedly the younger "brother" of the 52LM, at the PC show on Thu.

Quite happy with it & only problem was I couldn't update the map online with the serial no. as it was rejected.

Not sure why.

But like mentioned quite like the device [thumbsup]

maybe the 'O' is actually a 'zero' in your serial number or vice versa.....I had the same problem when I first got my 50LM....

Hmmmm.....you could be right bro.

BTW did you register your 50LM?

The stupid website hangs whenever I tries to download this Gramin communictaor plugin thingy for the zillionth time. It always said it is downloading but nothing happens for the next few hours [:(]

But since the stock map still works I am not really bothered since I can still use the new toy.

My brightness setting is at 40% because I want to conserve energy for long trip.

Even with the device plug into the car cigarette socket it can run out before I reach Penang [mad]

Now I use two sets for my trip just in case [blush]

you need good and uncongested network at all corners. Driving at fringe of Singapore will log you into overseas mobile network. Driving to MY will cost a bomb, unless you swop to MY SIM card.

I did use, just that I feel WAZE is a lot better, it have live user update on traffic conditions, i.e traffic accident, traffic complete standstill and thus user can avoid the particular road if there is any incident. WAZE is also free too.

if u are using iPhone and jailbroken..u can download an add-on to use with Google Maps and search using postal code..then direct the search results to Waze..i'm using it and it's awesome

haiz, if WAZE can give more routes like the street directory and find the street names and buildings, i super happy without it be being jail broken [:/]

The former is 5" while latter is 4.3" IIRC.
