Mllcg 3rd Gear August 20, 2012 Share August 20, 2012 SINGAPORE: Law and Foreign Affairs Minister K Shanmugam said he has noticed more unsafe driving on Singapore roads. Writing on his Facebook page, Mr Shanmugam commented on his experience on the roads on Monday. He cited two incidents, where drivers almost caused accidents because they did not indicate before switching lanes. Mr Shanmugam also cited one incident where his wife, who was driving, indicated to switch lanes but a van deliberately moved much faster to prevent them from pulling into the lane. The post also garnered dozens of comments within minutes on the Channel NewsAsia Facebook page. Some have suggested deploying more Traffic Police officers on the roads, to tackle bad drivers. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1221132/1/.html anyone agree? ↡ Advertisement

Bluroblur Neutral Newbie August 20, 2012 Share August 20, 2012 Sighs! U don't signal then change lane will almost cause accident, signal Liao people also don't let u change lane... Driving in sg so stressful...
Beehive3783 Turbocharged August 20, 2012 Share August 20, 2012 (edited) I generally agree. But there are a fair share of motherfarkers, whom after I give way to them to cut in front of me after they signal, start hogging the road and it usually pisses me off real bad that I have to cut in front of them again from the left to continue on my journey at my original pace. And let me emphasize that their actions piss me off because it's on lane 1 of expressways. Edited August 20, 2012 by Beehive3783

As for driving on lane 3, yes it's the new "lane 1" now. But don't you feel the pain when the small little stones hit your windscreen and bonnet at 80kph? Piak = pain

Beehive3783 Turbocharged August 20, 2012 Share August 20, 2012 this is the cause for people speeding up when u want to cut their lanes Bingo... so much so that I don't feel like giving way nowadays. And those that actually manage to cut in, got skills and the sense to keep up with the traffic flow in front and most of the time I don't even need to brake for them. I got no issues with this group of drivers because I'm one of them ↡ Advertisement
