How's the FC and performance? Normal?

Just that my ride is more than 100K already. That's why I mix with 0w30 & 0w40.

FC I don't seems much different.

W50+W30= W40.............. [scholar]

i always top up with diff oil. Makes no diff as all will smoke out anyway....... [cool]

Now have 5W50 mineral oil in my engine to "clean" it... Will do the change tomorrow...

Neutral Newbie

basically the front number is the starting temperature. Will not have effect.

The behind is the density of the engine oil. Mixing the same number should be okay

the front number is not starting temperature. its winter viscosity. Hence 'W'. dont bother with that number here in sunny singapore. if you want to be picky, choose the highest W number as it will have less thinning additives, which are not required anyway.

also, its viscosity. not density. viscosity is the reluctance of a fluid to flow. while density is its weight per unit volume. 2 very different things.

I was trying to be as layman as possible so that it will be easier to digest.

The main bulk will be 0W30 and top up is 5W30... Went to Amsoil last week as they have their offer for 1GL SSO 0W30 going for $56... No offer for 5W30 as I think most would take this grade...

Bro. where to get Amsoil EO ? Thks
