Only lta or tp can book those illegal park along service road or loading bay. I have friends who prefer to park illegally along the roads than park in the lot without coupons. Their mentality is that there are more certis wardens compare to tp and lta. So the chance of kena summon is lesser.

Strange enforcement rules we have here. No wonder illegal parking is still rampant on our roads.

Now I remember got a friend tell me they park along roadside in front of coffeeshop. If LTA comes, they simply shift to HDB carpark driveway and LTA officer can't do anything. SBS also have their own enforcement officers for their bus stops.

Their job scope must be crystal clear.

Long long time ago, HUB auntie used to issue summon for illegal parking at non-parking lot.

I was thought that it is cheaper for parking in parking lot without coupon ($30), than illegal parking ($70).

I did not know that rules had changed, after the certis wardens took over.

Just to correct you, service road and loading/unloading bays are not under purview of LTA or TP. They have power for public road under road traffic act.

Lamp Post No. 9 should be opp Fong Seng aka the row of eatery after the NUS bus terminal.

See the lamp post...everyone has a number. Either that or its at Ngee Ann Poly....numbers are running on each side of the road. So you have to see from both end of Clementi Road.

Mine is even more suay.

I was planning to pick up my wife and daughter from the Tampines MRT station after a receiving a phone call that they had already arrived and were waiting for me. Upon reaching my pick up location, which was near the turning point between the taxi stand of Tampines One and the MRT station pick up point. There was a very long queue at the taxi stand and the taxicabs were spilling out onto the road. At the same time, a bus was approaching the turn. The bus driver

i just kena a letter from LTA stating that i committed this offence of parking at unbroken yellow line between 7am-7pm on 10/8 at 12.19pm but the problem is i do not remember driving along clementi road that time coz i actually had to make a trip to bukit merah to collect something from panasonic during my lunch time... furthermore the offence didn't state which location until i called LTA and they tell me it is opposite lamppost #9, and where the hack is that?? i try google map and i try streetdirectory.com and they do not know where lamppost 9 is!!

any help to share with me where i can pinpoint where lamppost 9 is along clementi road? this road is very long.

why can't they just issue summon on the spot??!! i miss the TP in this instance... on the spot, kena nothing to say.

A record number of summons have been issued since LTA take over some of TP jobs. Recently Certis Cisco guys riding bikes are common sights on roads too. They must be earning commission or something. Be more alert.

I really think they should be doing more important things than fines for obstruction.

Like speeding offences, and especially the annoying "failure to form up properly" offence.

So many times when you queue in the correct lane to turn, and some dumbass (usually taxi driver) uses the wrong lane (non-turning lane) to cut in.

This is clearly in the wrong and cause unnecessary accidents.
