Deciding between new ipad or samsung tab 2

i am definitely waiting for microsoft surface tablet to be released before deciding whether to get a nexus or ipad or surface.

If you're looking at price, don't think M$ surface will be much cheaper than iPad. In fact, I think it may cost about the same price or even higher than iPad. On limitations, guess will be like iPhone versus Windows phone 7.5, very much limited, may be slightly better than iPad.

Neutral Newbie

War of attrition refers to a price war. What Google is doing is to introduce a fighter brand. It's objective is simple to capture higher market share either by break even or being subsidise by another brand/ model. This is consistent with android licensefree model.

Read my exchange with Jchuacl and then tell me again whether i was wrong in stating that Jchuacl's position favours/endorses/slants towards a war of attrition. Note that this WASN'T my position to begin with.

Sgd 119..batt life I think easily 5hrs for web surfing..mineis the cheapest of the lot..there's a ainol elf II plus keyboard going for 200sgd at HWZ, mine is from gmarket. ics, maybe a bit laggy if compare to my galaxy note but ok la,slightly over 100..so cheap for a 7 inch android tablet. What's there to complain

Thanks bro. I have optimism that the dual core version might perform even better.

so which one did u get ?

I reviewed the specs, the user experiences and i decided that the 远道 Window N90 (9.7") is a better buy. However, i have a source stating that Allwinner, Rockship and possibly Amlogic are readying mass production of their new quadcore SoC. If you look at the sellers' recent price slashes of the dual core SoC tablets, it make sense. Why else would they want to slash from 1299 RMB to about 999 RMB but to clear stocks?

Therefore i am waiting for mid September for things to settle.

All of the China tablets are using SoC from either Allwinner, Rockchip or Amlogic. Do note and beware of the term dualcore and quadcore. By definition, all SoC are multicore BUT only one of those cores is the main logic processing core. The rest of the cores are either the secondary processing core used for idle standby, modem (controlling connectivity) etc.

Only the true dualcore or quadcore have two or four processing cores.
