Neutral Newbie

I have yet to decide

just wondered if anybody here got any strong views for or against installing opennet

the wiring can be quite ulgy

fibreoptics - I thought it is on the way out - technology wise that is

gimmick - free now but also free until end of 2012 if we subscribe to one of the providers

i currently am not very keen

with mobile internet eg ipad or iphone

is there really a need for such dedicated line for general use

thanks for your views to help me make a decision

Fiber optic is really very fast. You can alias with contractor to do conceal trunking when open net doing installation, of course contractor ownself come out with the $.

Since it is free, why not?

You will have to pay if you decide to use fiber after you had missed the opennet installation.

How much is it? Or is there any promo by the teleco?

For my current usage, I don't see the need for it... maybe my son will need one when he started secondary school but that is like 7yrs later, so, I don't think I want this so call free stuff... 7yes later might have better option... :D

last i heard was $200+++ w/o gst. installation charges.

I doubt the telcos will do it for you.

Opennet installation starts from the fiber point outside your flat. You can ask Opennet to lay the fiber cable anywhere you want but you have to pay if it exceed 15m.
