From what I know 1X has a very very bad battery life( less than 1 day even with minimal usage)...for the others I dont know how long the battery can tahan

Why not wait for Iphone5 and then consider?

i thought 1X camera is more superior to that of s3?

HTC Camera are usually inferior compared to Samsung Galaxy S series, my wifey HTC Sensation Cam and my SGSII Cam compare is like one to the east, the other to the west ^_^

What are you going to do with the phone? Easier to recommend this way. Btw, I'm using the Nexus.

Regardless of what, forget the SE. Their build is great, but their software is terrible. Laggy, some functionality is cut so some apps will have settings blacked out, slow to update, and problems after updating.

Conform and Chop [laugh]

For a mere 30 bucks, seems now S3 is more worth it....

True, but to carry around? For media, pentile or not I love samsung's super amoled. The contrast is [thumbsup]

The 1x can take more pics in succession, but image quality wise, apparantly the S3 is better. The framerate for video is also higher on the S3.

Of the lot, the nexus is the most pocketable, and I guess you could get the white version for your wife, but be warned, cases are tough to get (at least for guy colours) in contrast to all bar the SE. Also the Nexus's in SG are Samsung supported rather than Google supported so you will have to wait a bit for the updates. I flashed the OEM rom for the Google suppported Nexus to update to Jelly Bean.

thks fior the link, indeed very comprehensive..... very.

Quite disappointed with 1X overall performance..

you're welcomed. 1 of my friend and my gf both using 1x. battery life so so. but nowadays considered normal liao. better than my current Sensation XL.

And also the 1x do not have a menu button unlike the rest. I'm used to using the menu key so the 1x don't feel user friendly to me. but it is a v good phone.

Actually, it does. Its the software menu key. HTC is making a change so the task switcher key can double up as the menu key with a long press or short press, and the other press will remain as the task switcher. Updates should be pushed out in the coming weeks.

Anyway only the GB devices like the Note and Ion have the menu key. The rest use the ICS onwards standard back, home, task switcher with the menu key popping up whenever there's a menu.

I'm using OneX. Htc is quite on with updates. Inused to have a short battery life. After holding thebphone for 3 weeks n lots of tweeter comment on the battery issue, Htc came out with a firmware upgrade to address the batt problem.

I have no complains with the OneX ever since.. Actually things like non removal batt, no expandable slotnfor sd cards are not necessary. I m used to buying phone with another additional batt as standby. But it's so troublesome to off the phone, take out the phone from protective casing, put new batt, close the casing.. Then go back home still must charge 2 batt..

With the invention of portable batt charger, it's the way to go.. Super convenient. Plus having additional charger in office and another ac charger in car all the time also helps. No need for battery change at all.

No more SE.

It's Sony ION.

I am checking out these 4.7" phone too.

Choosing between

LG 4X HD Sony ION

8MP 12MP

1.5GHz 1.5GHz

Quad Core Dual Core

I am a Xperia user, and I love the quality of sony camera. So the attraction is the 12MP Sony cam.

oh. but I still prefer 4 buttons instead of 3. too used to using the menu key liao. instead of the small black menu bar at the bottom. it kinda eats into the 4.7" sized screen. while surfing the net. kinda like the galaxy nexus.

Nexus owners are unlikely to keep it stock, means there are plenty of options to customise. In fact, I'm using 5 buttons excluding the menu option

Does that really matter if it's 4.5 or 4.7.

I would bother if it's 1/2" different.

Saw at M1 shop.
