Evo X RS or GSR?

Hey guys, wondering which would be a better deal if I bought a 2nd hand? Assuming the RS is a done up modded one, would it be better than the GSR since it's slightly cheaper? Although of course, I'll be missing the S-AYC and the sports ABS. Are those 2 systems really that important? Will the ride feel abit less .. physics-bending if I may put it that way? Haha [confused]

RS supposed to be lightest, stripped down racing spec. That means no aircon, airbag, power window to name the least.

you sure you want this?

Mostly those who bought RS will go fix air con n power window. Unless track car, then diff story. I seriously doubt if one can drive without air con in singapore.

I got a question....if my evo9 have been rarely driven and it's been a year from last oil service...should I change the oil or jus continue driving till 5000km? For past year I have clocked only 3000km

I could be wrong, rs do not come with any abs, not just sport abs.

The sayc maybe a good to have feature in a car, but I would not drive a car without abs. Also the car spec is more important than mod, as mod can be change easily but not base features of cars like abs.

Beside abs makes a big difference when you drive harder like in a sport sedan like the Evo. I do not know that performance car ts have driven, but the Evo, even stock form can be very overwhelming, with a big turbo, the boost can comes when u are not prepare, like middle of a corner.

Yes the odds of abs kicking in is fairly rare, unless I drive really fast, but it's the security I would have just in case. Oh, I think r also have only 1 or 2 airbag compare to about 6 on gsr.

Unless u are looking for a trackday car, pick the gsr even with the price premium.

Btw, I was an Evo owner, while not an expert like the broa at Evo forum, still can give a wordnor 2 of advice.

Can anyone explain y must be 6mths? The oil will be hardened?

turbo charge engine, the engine oil will get dirty very easily, meaning become very black....after too long...it become sluggish... FC will be affected.

some user even change oil at 3k instead of 5k.

my previous sti used to go for oil change between 8k-10k. engine oil wasn't particularly black when drained. car dun feel sluggish and fc certainly not affected as i hv quite gd fc (9km/l) compared to my frens who drove the same car and my car ain't stock.

i think servicing at 5k km interval is plain kiasu and kia see. lol

Hey bro, thanks! Currently am driving an Atrex btw hehe :D

True true, abs kicking is pretty rare but I guess its really useful should the need arise. Have had to use it in a very close shave while on a B-road in M'sia lol. Ok, I guess my mind is made up ... the GSR it shall be ^_^

P.S. Sgevoclub is moving vvvvvvery slowly somehow, seen you in there though hah!
