i paid abt $175 + gst last month for changing 1 pair. Incld parts and labour. Jap car. Not done at AD.

i never tried asking stockist before.

yup.... its not a stokist item. I tried to get a pair for my wife's Matrix but ends up getting the same answer as u. U need to know the size of the boot then they will find the suitable boot for u...

better to go to workshop that specialised in drive shaft to do it, almost all standard workshop will get the replacement drive shaft from them.

 

I always go to Elite Car Drive Shaft Centre (http://www.elitedriveshaft.com/) to replace them, around $180++ , depending on the make and model.

Oh, are you referring to the CV boot (black rubber) only and not the CV joint?

 

if it's just the CV boot, Elite also have but remember to also get the grease that is required for the CV joint, workshop seldom stock up the grease for the CV joint.
