Witness Appeal: Accident Involving a Pedestrian and Car

Hi Guys,

 

Need to look out for witnesses for an accident on 2 Aug 2012 at around 6.13am. The location is the T Junction for Canberra Road and Sembawang Vista. The victim is a friends mom.

Utmost urgent: We are appealing for witness to an accident involving a pedestrian and a car at the T junction of Canberra Road and Sembawang Vista at around 6.13am today 02 Aug 2012.

 

The accident vehicle is SJZ8228C. The pedestrian is ICU right at this moment. Internal bleeding in the brain, fractures to the pelvis and neck. The good doctors managed to top the bleeding just a while ago. The victim is my mom on her usual morning walk. She is 73yrs old, a cyclist, 100% able, no illness, healthier than most people 20 years younger...

 

...we have spoken to the driver and there are 2 other cars present and many others who can be witness to the accident. Witnesses, please step forward. Victim was struck at the middle lane, junction of Canberra road/sembawang vista towards the direction of Sembawang shopping centre. Victim was hit on the front right side of the car and head smashed against the windscreen and rolled over the bonnet."

I think it would be quite jia lat if he/she did. As it was noted, there were at least two other cars at the scene.

What witness do you want?? If the driver is there, car never move after accident, everything should be in place. Even if pedestrian run red light, driver will still be penalise.

Either way the car insurance will likely pay the full medical fees.

Right now is to hire a good lawyer, and immediately establish the facts and photos and prepare a Kilat report to claim the car insurance.

Who is right or wrong is not the time to argue now.

 

If just small abrasion, then ok...can argue and talk rough with car driver just for the sake of it.

 

But now concuss in hospital, better look at the future medical costs and claims! Not easy to claim from insurance hor. Better use the proper operation theater, not some small clinic room. Record down every details of medicals and events.

What witness do you want?? If the driver is there, car never move after accident, everything should be in place. Even if pedestrian run red light, driver will still be penalise.

 

But it can help in the TP investigations. Most probably the car's insurer will cover most of the medical bills. But TP will still investigate to see if they want to charge the driver or not ma.
