the deliberately losing is to increase the winning chance for next game that subsequently going to final to win medal

if you watch documentary you will understand ... all ahlete traing day-and-night for 4 years for the olympic ... wining is the ONLY thing ... simi participation ...

not long ago .. the golden line is people will only remember Usian Bolt the 1st person who cross the line ... 2nd and 3rd cannot remember

To expand a little, (quoting wiki)

The Olympic creed is The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well

Do you feel that these players were in line with the "Olympic Creed"? Remember also that the ideal of the Olympics is as an amateur sport - not a professional, winning is everything.

It is disgraceful to see people deliberately losing, and I am pleased that there is enough strength in the governing body to discipline them.

So now 2 teams kenna disqualified.

Which is the lucky country that goes thru?

Imagine going to the Olympics with no

hope of getting a medal and suddenly

all the good team got disqualified.

Hehe then pick a up medal unexpectedly!

for a moment Han Jian and Luan Jin was also in the same team with Yang Yang. but the second singles in that team is not either of them. slipped my mind now. i specially like the team because Yang Yang and Zhao Jian Hua are southpaws. Zhao Jian Hua is more entertaining to watch as a player with his more instances of tricky shots whereas Yang Yang is much more consistent than zhao.

and doubles play of Li Yong Bo and Tian Bing Yi is simply mesmerising.

he tends to be the more forgotten player. but he is more consistent than Zhao Jian Hua.

i think the issue with it is not abt them resting or reserving their energy, is the way they purposedly throw the game away. if they play to their 60% capabilities, i dun think they is any issues with tt, but to purposedly lose it is another thing. u dun see soccer player go and score own goals to lose game, f1 driver after 1st lap go back pit park car off work, or anythin similar.

They were throwing the game so they wouldn't meet their compatriots in the semi- final round.

Not to "increase chances".

But even if it was to ultimately increase chances - it is a terrible idea, against all the ideals of sportsmanship, shows disrespect to the sport, competitors and spectators.

Blame the system dun blame the players....

its the olympic council to keep thinking of new ways to improve...

So next time I don't lock my door, you will blame me and not blame the thief?

Better yet, my daughter don't wear chastity belt, blame her and don't blame the rapist?
