Sympathy on ur situation. $10k is not a small amt n it works out to average $5k per ctr. Bfore u send, did u do ur homewk?

 

For my case, my ger will do homewk n check w her classmates to c which centre is gd for which subject. After signing her, I will monitor for 3mths bfore I continue. Some subjects like languages will take slightly longer.

 

I hv fren whose DD r fm same sch n gg to same ctr but sch result differ btw her kid n mine. A child's progress also depends on individual.

 

For ur case, next time suggest u try out on 1 kid first bfore u put the other in same ctr.

 

And last min tuition don't expect miracles. It wld b a precedent to charge a ctr for CBT if ur 2 kids fail. Lastly, whenever my fren asked for recommendation, I will tell them @ the end of the day, it still depend on individual n whether the child feels motivated by the teacher.

 

Don't think spend $$$$$ can gtd flying colours or get into GEP.

i guess the fee is quite common in some elite tuition centres, but you can't anyhow scream that they are con man if your kids CMI.

IMMHO I believe in continuation of supervision and guidance by parents even after their kids finishes a tuition lesson... The tutor or teacher can only do so much and it's up to the parents to enforce the lessons back at home...

 

Doesn't mean paying sky high prices for super tutors equates to good if not excellent results...
