A reminder for those highly leveraged

It's no longer a stable economy going forward. Along the way, things may take a turn for the worst. And is often the least you expect. For those who highly leverage on properties(30years loan and above), just have to watch your reserves and health. [:)]

Got a link from yahoo news :

Singaporeans Should have by 35?

If a stupid fellow had leverage from 2008/9 till now. He would be retired by now.

Similary, if another wave comes, the QE3 promised last night by the Europeans......will sustain the properties for another 5years maybe.

So leverage is the name of the game. It's very much in the interest for youngsters with no commitments and assets, to daringly over leverage now. It's a game that everyone plays. The most bankrupt. But upside is very big gains!!

frens who know nothing about property investment returns have made over 500k in the last few years.

bought redhill HDB in early 2000s. Sold in 2009. Made 300K.

Bought a mass mkt condo @700 psf. Now paper profit ard 200 psf. Thinking of selling and moving back into a HDB.

So called property investment veterans that I know have been waiting since 2008 until now still haven't buy anything. Dunno have to wait how long more if there is another QE

It's all about timing & holding power. Economy is cyclical & property prices should continue on the up trend in the near term (10yrs?). Hence people are still buying despite the crazy prices for the past 2 years. May see a dip but like what was mentioned, the upside is still there, though not as substantial as before. Those who bought earlier in the late 90s & early 2000s are the ones who are laughing their way to the banks.

The best way to make money is a boom-bust economy

Buy during bad times and sell during good times.
