Where did the info regarding the juicy news on emails that are sue worthy?? Sounds interesting

Yeah - it was in the ST tweets that I read yesterday - something about releasing or not releasing some emails to the public and them potentially being part of another case - I didn't quite understand

I really don't understand how secular music and stardom is supposed to promote christianity - the whole concept seems flawed to me...

One possible idea is to make the person very popular first then it's easier to sell whatever he/she want next...

Call me stupid, but I don't understand how these lyrics are trying to promote Christianity.

Maybe they are speaking in tongues I don't understand.

From http://theriskmanagementparadox.com/2013/09/13/city-harvest-case-part-5-chcs-crossover-or-sun-hos-crossover/ :

While the Crossover project was almost exclusively – in terms of resources allocation – focussing on Sun Ho, her public statements in the U.S. is problematic as she appeared to quite clearly dissociate herself from the Crossover project as well as from City Harvest Church. During media interviews, when probed about her music and connection to CHC, she repeatedly declared that, “I don’t want to think of it as a crossover album” (example: South China Morning post Article “here comes the Sun”) also playing down her connection to City harvest Church as “just the church I’m affiliated to” (read the PR.com Article “Sun Rising“).

Another example of the “miraculous signs” that did not materialize is Tonos, the company that had supposedly offered to Sun Ho a $5 millions contract to finance the launch of her career in the U.S. had actually stopped operations (see picture on the left) one year before Pastor Kong Hee made the contract offering claim in front of his congregation in 2005 . To put it simply, there was no $5 millions contract. The question is, how could Pastor Kong Hee make knowingly that claim in front of his congregation?

I will never be her follower because I prefer people to talk to me and not to sing to me [:/]

Religious orgs are one of the few "biz models" which members aka "investors" give freely without expecting any monetary returns perpetually because it is their "duty". I dont know any other biz which u receive $ perpetually & no need to return anything.

A devious person wld realize this early on & make use of this for his/her own gains.

If spouting rubbish and mangled nonsense while making vague religious references you can blind people enough for them to throw money at you to lead the high life, you'd believe the divine being exists and favours you too.

Actually you should think of it this way. Will singing religious song reach out to non-believers? Compare to you sing pop culture song, how many non-believers you can reach out to?

Her genere is dance music. Dance music are mostly mindless thumping and repetition of the chorus. Anyway most ppl are drunk where clubs play dance music. Lyrics say what dun really matter. Why they chose dance music probably becoz Asians can't get into the regular English song market. Nobody will want to see an Asian sing English songs. Just check the music you download or the albums you bought, got any Asian singing English songs boh? Most likely dun have. This is not racism but I call it stereotype.

They got to aim for bigger audience to reach out to. They can't be doing what other Asians singers had already been there, done that and failed. Unfortunately due to stereotypes and culture you dun see any ang moh willing to collaborate with an Asian singer to make an album. Not that they are racist pigs but becoz they know the album won't sell. To break into any music market other dan Asian music market is actually not easy.

I'm talking about how the music industry works. I haven't go into religious music or CHC. I can see where they are coming from. But dan many other do not coz most ppl just want to see them fall. If they really want to reach out to as many ppl as they can there are not many options to choose from. This kinda thing trial & error. Nobody can foresee whether it will work. If ppl think they are misusing the funds to promote this project....I mean not every investment is a sure win. Maybe they lost too much money and dun get to see any returns ppl are concern. Much like our gahment invest in promoting Sgp, you and me can't really see the returns.

sori ure stereotype theory obviously has flaws coz PSY has more than proven that americans readily embrace asian pop music if it is good, in fact PSY's gangnam style dominated the entire world & its not even in English! Americans were singing along in korean!!!

sun ho's music sucks period & she has no excuse calling herself geisha as a means to reach out to rest of world. to me she was trying to be a mainstream popstar, confirm not a christian music star.

The thing is even Psy himself can't foresee he can reach such a level. But the gandam style to me it's just a one hit wonder. His following songs got ppl remember boh?

Yeah what. You got to get ppl to know you first before they will listen to you what. Ppl dunno her and she starts to preach, if you will you pick up your legs and run? Confirm run away mah.

The Gospel must be the main course, it should not be a dessert after someone's concert.
