Trust technology rather than mechanics. well, ok. any good brands since carlube don't seem to suit my engines.. now i'm stuck with 4 bottles of carlube.. both cars, very noisy with carlube.. Karbonphyber 1st Gear May 9, 2014 Share May 9, 2014 theres a guideline to the type of oil to be used on a car. 1) specifications of the manufacturer e.g. API/MB/VW/Porsche/.... 2) weight, based on kilometers on the car. 3) purpose/use of the vehicle. 4) original factory manual for readings. all those 3 contribute to giving you the 'right' answer. i run one oil for track and one oil for street.
