Anyone tried to buy back the car you sold off earlier?

Just wondering... has anyone ever sold off or trade in their car and then down the road tries to buy back? Or at least buy back the car plate number? Thinking of looking for the car that I sold off earlier... not so much for the car, but for the car plate number due to sentimental reasons. Just thinking how to locate the current driver.

I kept and transfered the old number to my current car, as a way to thank/appreciate/remember my previous car for its' tenure of service, and to transfer the same great service to my current car...

It costed ~$1,200 for LTA, I recall.

1,300 if transfer to a 2nd hand car. Transfer to a new car is $100. I kept my plate since the first car till now..

Funny .. I had the same question back of my mind too when I see my old ride on the road everyday.. But jus no chance to catch the driver.. But then again, if they know u r keen won't they jack up a pricier mkt price? that's my only concern. Sob sob, my favourite body kits n extraordinary bonnet still intact after 2 yrs!! Good for them anyway. Life's go on..
