recently check tyrepac for new tyres saw they have the new CPC5 on sale. The reviews on them are quite good and they are no1 on a few charts, granted the competitor are quite lousy tyres, the only competition was T001 and P7 (but got one test 4th vs PS3 5th)

anyone using them...my altis 195/65/R15 got not much choice (considering 16 rim, but gave it up...no point)...looking at

1) Advan DB

2) XM2 (tried it on previous Altis...good then but overrated now)

3) CPC5

4) ZE 914 (not much feedback)

5) T001 (successor to ER300, my current tyre..good but VERY VERY noisy now)

looks like CPC5 is a good choice (cheap too) so wondering if they are really worth it. Was leaning to Advan DB.

Anyone try then already?

For Altis, go with Bridgestone Turanza.

Turenza T001 or Michelin Energy Saver would be good for altis

From XM1, change to CPC5 few months ago. Now 5k on it.

Compare to XM1, CPC5 is slightly more quiet and comfortable. Wet and dry drip about the same.

But during those heavy rain or driving thru big water patches, found that XM1 dispersed water slightly better than CPC5.

Neutral Newbie

Currently two of my tyres are CPC2. But CPC5 still don't have 215/60/16 yet. Hopefully these sizes will be available by next April when I need to change my CPC2.

Is CPC5 and CSC5 very different?

Csc5 is suppose to be in uhp range....cpc5 in the touring range...for small medium cars...however test shows cpc5 is performing quite well....in the ps3 range if u believe one of the test.

World of difference if you like corners, the sidewall of CPC5 very soft, unlike CSC5, if you after the ultimate grip CSC5P has the better compound which in the territory of Michelin Pilot super sport (40 to 50 diff per tyre). CSC5 limited to 17th rims.

CSC5 has very progressive loss of grip in the wet during agressive cornering plenty of warning unlike Bridgestone especially RE001 and less so the RE002, good till you start losing it, where it really goes quickly where the fun really begins.
