Hi all Blackvue users... like to ask something. I am given a BV DR590-2CH (non wifi) by car dealer. Is this model lasting and reliable? As there is no WiFi , it is hard for me to check on a regular basis if everything is working well or not.

I do not park under the sun a lot. Maybe just few times a month I may need to park under the sun for 5-6 hrs. And when go HDB shops then park 2-3 hrs under sun.

Parking at home / office is all covered.

Saw this DR590 selling at cars@expo, comes with Wifi le?! So your dealer give you the one without Wifi?

Should be no problem with reliability for these newer Blackvue models. I am using the 650 and 750. Previously using the 400.

i have a DR590 2 channel which was supplied with my new car by cycle & carriage.

took out the SD card to look at the footage for fun. but to my horror...

I need your opinion on these guys!

1) The 16GB card only manage to record like, 5 hours of footage?! Is this normal?

2) The front video is super bad quality cant even make out the car plate until very close. Even the back camera is shaper? What's wrong?

3) How to live-view the recording angle while adjusting the camera?

just curious, so will changing the memory card to a bigger capacity helps in longer recording? would there be any indication when the memory is almost full or does it do a loop recording?

For car cam, when memory is full it would overlap the old records and continue recording. You might need a bigger memory card capacity if your car cam continue to record even during parking. If not no need to have bigger memory card capacity since anything happen during driving, you only need that spilt second of video recorded.

Actually you seldom need to view the footage on your car cam if there is no accident or incidence happened. So having wifi or not also not say very important, although it is good to have such feature la.

yes I agree, will only need to review it if something happen. as long as the recording is damn and the image are sharp its good enough.
