If warranty not an ssue, and seller honest retailer, should just grab it.

Get local workshop to install it around $50 to $60

Wondering if I buy the 750 from Qoo10, which are the shops I can bring it to for install?

Will any audio shop do or will they chase me away cos I didn't buy the product from them?

I'm planning to install Blackvue 600 or 650-2CH for next ride, but looking for advice from current owners.

Do you feel the 2CH is worth the extra? Do you feel the Blackvue cams have good quality for the price, or compared to other brands? (this one is important to me)

Also how is the max recording time?

Also I want to check with all current owners whether the complaints about overheating issue from old gen really gone...

edit: also for bros with new car under AD warranty, do they make noise when you install the cam?

I installed 650-2CH..

whether the rear camera is useful is quite subjective to individual.. Good to have though..

So far, my AD (Kia) did not make any noise.

hehe i think they will only make noise if there were electrical problems, where the ADs may try to push the blame on accessories installed by the driver outside of warranty.... nothing go wrong shouldn't need to make noise

wa.... looks like an excellent deal! makes me regret ordering the G1WH online... still waiting for it to come from China.....

Bro. The price on Qoo10 just drop from $299 to $289.

Is this how a time sale works at Qoo10 ( the more people who buy the lower the price).

I install Blackvue 600. $378 from Chuan Sing during car Expo. free installation and free Power Magic. In term of review can read up on the 500, almost similar but with additional enhancement.

Quality wise is definitely good. Whether you need rear camera is personel preference. I only switch Blackvue on during parking other than my own MSCP.

Mine AD. Borneo Motors. No issue because they also selling Blackvue plus installation ie @ higher prices.

Buying from Qoo10 depend largely on seller integrity. Bought from there few times. Need to see whether it is authentic or not. Also whether product lemon or not.

Most of the time I bought from Qoo10 I will go directly to the seller, Ie go their factory/shop (Singapore). For overseas purchase caveat emptor...Warranty can also be an issue.

For example you can get the latest Samsung Phone etc on Qoo10 at around $30-$80 cheaper. Why? Because the product is for export. No warranty. You want even cheaper price, can go to 3 phone shop @ Race Course Road. These 3 shops are very very popular with Foreign Worker during weekend. Same concept. For export n no warranty.

I had the DR650-dual channel for 2 months now, so far so good.

Video quality for the front is decent enough to identify car plates, rear cam good enough for you to see who bang your behind. Night capture noise level is pretty high on both front and back.

With the stock 16GB card it overwrites itself after 1.5 hours of drive, but with a 64GB the card can store up to whole day worth of recording. No overheating issues.

2nd Gear

DR300, their first model. I have two of them, still good after nearly 5 years. Downside is the low resolution, no gps or wifi.

Also have a DR500GW. Several issues, speaker no sound, can't keep time, and internal capacitor not working. All these after just one plus year.

Generally blackvue has all the features and nice form factor. Only dislike cannot adjust time with the android app and it can't read/write beyond 64Gb. And it is pricey.
