Dear all, I own a Blackvue DR380G-HD and within a year I change '6 Units'!!! This is suppose to be a product to protect against us consumer should there be an uneventful accident occurs. This is not the case for me cause I have already experience 2 near accident but when i replay the incident the 1st one turns out to be a 'Blue Screen' and the 2nd incident it turns out to be white smoky video image. This is a suppose to be a 'HIGH DEFINATION' Product that can record quality videos and Blackvue is suppose to be a reputable brand. What is the use of having such a good looking product with high spec but it doesn't serve its purpose??? What if a major accident happens and all I can playback is just blue or smoky video recording? Last but not least Blackvue product is not the cheapest in the market so I believe that consumers don't expect this kind of quality!!! I'm truly disappointed!!!

I think if not using 24/7 should be no problem for overheating right?

it will overheat but you can try removing the backcasing of your blackvue to prevent overheating from happening.

I'd like some comments on this incident yesterday afternoon, recorded on my trusty BlackVue 380 G HD. If this is not the right thread, apologies.

youtube video BMW cuts me up

Jump to 35 seconds, video concerns the black BMW on my right. It's not very exciting, I'm only concerned about right of way and road etiquette etc.

There's a bit more to this story - he tried to intimidate me later by following me all the way to my destination - but I first want your opinion if this video in itself proves he cut into my lane and if I had the right not to yield (he doesn't even indicate). BTW, I knew the lane to my left was clear.

I know from previous experience that there are many different views on this sort of thing...

Hello. Having some problems with Blackvue. The Blackvue I have isn't clear during daytime.

Seems to have lots of glare and reflection from the windscreen. Unless the car is directly infront, the numberplate is almost impossible to see.

Any idea how to reduce reflection/glare?

Looks like a fickle minded driver. He cuts in slowly at the very last minute.

I guess he was expecting you to slow down and give way.

Just have to be more careful on the roads with more drivers behaving this way.

Hi guys, I installed blackvue in my beemer. The problem is that BMW detect the battery it uses. So if I park more than 10 hours, BMW will switch off all external battery consuming devices.

Often I have to restart the PMP in the morning. Kind of defeats the purpose to protect the car.

How do I set the PMP so that it cuts off before the BMW defects the power used and regulate itself?

My current 1 & 2 switch on the PMP is set to on.

Follow the manual and set the timer to less than 10 hours lor. Or directly tap power supply from your car battery to the PMP.

I have DR350 installed in my car. The video recorded is always broken up (video fast and normal)

Furthermore, once recording almost flooded the memory, it always start to have problem with recording and faulty memory card.

Using DR400HD-G , ceased in first week, claim and replacement again same model, after 2 months, ceased again.

This time replace with DR380-G , normal functioning for 3 months, after that sd card error, replace sd card, weekly sd card error, now every moment error.

Dismantle out and dump into trashbin, no more blackvue in my life.

Looks like it's goodbye and not good buy for the black vue. Was really considering to put them on my rides. U just saved me! Wanted to do it this Friday. It's not cheap, so thot it's supposed to be good. In this instance it is bad n expensive rather than good n expensive. After hearing from bros here, it seems tt the product doesn't do what it's supposed to do well. Paying $808 for front n back camera, for ONE car, including the installation n magic pro is not worth it if I have to be a slave to it.

Any bro can recommend a good one?

What you are paying includes after sales service such as warranty claim. But I think $808 is a bit on the high side.

I recently bought a BlackVue DR500GW-HD Wifi from Qoo10 for $259 and the Power Magic Pro for $45. I read the forum and managed to hardwire it to my car.

You can refer to the following website for more information on dashcam.

Of course, if there is anything wrong with my dashcam, I have to ship it back to korea. This is a con. But I will save a lot of $$$ if nothing goes wrong.
