Coming from electronics engineering POV, I think the problem is with too many electronic chips in too small of a housing. The camera should have a few vent holes for heat to escape so it doesn't affect other parts of the camera like the lens.

Hi bros, can advise if I need 1 or 2 power magic if I have 2 sets of Blackvue cameras? If 1 is ok, how do I tap the second one to? Thanks

Finally gotten a replacement DR-380G from Foon. This replacement unit comes with working GPS, working backup battery and very clear lens. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will not turn out like the old one which video i had posted below.

Blur until cannot see anything...

To be more stable (as claimed, never try before single power magic), you need 2x power magic as well. I had 2x cameras with 2x power magic.

Someone did a tear down of Blacvkue DR500G

http://forum.dashcamtalk.com/viewtopic.php...88&start=30

From the look of it, doesn't seems to be a lot of difference with DR400. Beside the additional ventilation holes added on the casing, they seems to have added another metallic cover around the lens to act as heatsink. This is to prevent the lens from fogging up during hot ambient temperature ?

Maybe someone can do a comparison with DR400 internal pictures.

My BlackVue DR400G-HD II Season 2 finally up lorry after only 5 months.

First it stops the "BV is shutting down part then the images started deteriorating,

Finally the date and time are all out of sync even though I have changed various micro SD cards.

E-mail the vendor but no response on the warranty part.

Sianz... [:(]

The symptoms are internal battery up lorry. The unit should still be functional. Open the casing, remove the li-po battery, bring to Sim Lim Tower basement or Sim Lim Square fifth or sixth level are try to ask for similar spec li-po battery as replacement.
