of course of course. its a free market. but i have seen instances where the price automatically rises (even 2 fold for the same job when the model of the car is quoted)

im not saying all are unscrupulous but i have heard of instances of price increases based on car makes (even doubling up the price based on car model)

anyway, will do the homework :D thanks bro

No, it was working for a while and then stop working. It hangs on the BV. Then when tried to format, it says protected. Brought it down to the Sandisk agent, told them cant format, they changed a new one for me. Mine was 6mths old.

Anybody can advise me if my Blackvue 400hd keep rebooting itself as well as indicating voice message "please check your sd card". I bought it from other workshop, where the down time is taking too long for me.

I recently bought Sandisk 32gb class 6 SD card (as recommended by the workshop), how should I do it from here? Install latest version of pittasoft 1.04? How? Can anyone advise?

hmm ok forgive me then because i've actually never modified *anything* on any of the cars i've owned. not even the rims. every single car has basically been stock from day one ... so i guess i should ask & listen more first lol.

Neutral Newbie

Bro I thought his problem is the locking button on the side of the adapter?

If it is locked then it cannot be formatted no matter how.

I used to have this problem before. Even the adaptor button is unlock. Computer shows lock.

My problem is faulty adaptor. I use another card reader directly slot in sd card. No problem after that.

I had this prob with the DR380G previously. My suggestion is to change the entire unit under warranty.

With a Class 6 card, you will get this error once in a while. U will need to reformat the microSD card and put back into the cam. I used to do that.

Upgraded to a Class 10 card, no problem at all.

I am still using the older 1.037 firmware, do not see the need to upgrade at all.

OIC, thanks a lot, Vulcann. [thumbsup] But, I still got questions:

1.) Sandisk Micro SD 32GB class 6, is it ok? But, I already bought it, so how if die die must use class 10? [:/]

2.) I already downloaded into my PC, but not sure the sequence. Can you advise me the sequence, i.e. shall I format the micro SD first, then transfer the old pittasoft program from the original Sandisk micro sd card (16GB class 4) to the new micro sd card (32 GB class 6), and then run the latest firmware?

Thanks Adrianli. What about using 1.04 firmware and maintain class 6 card?

1) No la, even class 4 also can. Higher class means faster transfer speed only.

2) Install the software or formatting the card first no difference. Actually your BV is pre-installed with the latest software so even if you place an just-formatted, empty micro-SD into it the BV will still write to this card and run it. No issues for me.

You can then retrieve the card to be viewed in your PC or lappy.

It is not firmware issue. It is the read/write speed of the microSD card. To avoid reformatting every two weeks or so, change to Class 10 card.

Just in case an accident happen n ur Class 6 card not writting, u will cry.

1) Ok, I got your point, but Adrianli got other version, so is it firmware issue or is it sd card's class issue or is it both? [dizzy]

2) Actually, I bought both my BV400ghd late last year, and the Pittasoft is older version 1.037 now. Over the year, I had been living the pain and trouble to reformat the sd card every week. What do you mean, "place an just-formatted, empty micro-SD into it the BV still write to this card...." I don't quite understand the language. [dizzy]

1) Its ok to use other classes but recommended by bro Adrianli and others is Class 10 which I am using as well;

2) So yours is not BV DR400G-HD Season II? Then it should not be a problem to upgrade the firmware on the PC/lappy to version to 1.040 with no issues with the necessary micro-SD card inside.

But if yours is Season II then just do not place this installed card into BV directly because it will not work as the sweet Korean voice will say," The version information is different". This is because the 1.040 version is for the previous model & not for Season II.

If yours is Season II then you will need then to format the micro-SD card with the firmware 1.040 erased.

You can then place this formatted card into the BV to let it install with its pre-loaded firmware for Season II to work.

After that just use the firmware 1.040 on your PC/lappy to read or modify the parameters.

Thereafter just format the card and place the empty card into BV to re-start the whole process again.

Capice?
