Not really.. i'm using 1h 700DPS LOH 900+ plus a 1h 699DPS LOH 900.

 

My overall DPS is only around 17K which is considered low for inferno level but tanking DH purpose is to tank and not to kill.

Sweeping wind is really something. Can kill enemies even when I am running from them

 

I am still not fully into the "Zen" of being a Monk though.

 

The best build is to DW (dual wield)?

 

Try to make the character as dodgy as possible?

I'm already changed from DPS to tanker mode.

 

Currently running 2.7k LOH on 2 bow and a ammy.

 

You also need high resis.. i would recommend around 600 resis and high armour of around 5/6k.

 

Tanking with 3 additional peeps in A3/A4, NO PROBLEM! accept for arcane..

with shield lessen my LOH.. but improve my resis, stats and amour.

I find that ppl who literally died playing this game is really extreme, no sleep no eat. I mean even with numerous server maintenance ppl can still die....I dunno how they play.

My monk seems to have too little vitality to survive inferno.

Now i am @ 710 resist all, 15k dmg, 600 Lifesteal and only 23k life.

 

Items with resistance and life and dex are very expensive.

Worse with items carrying Crit Chance..

 

Btw, is there a list of your names so i can add you guys in game ?

As a monk u have ... LPSS w transcendence., Breath of Heaven , etc. . . or even with life per sec gear which is cheaper than LOH.

Life per spirit spent.. just like transcendence ... I experimented with a MH with about 48LPSS.. so with transcendence its abt 110, so by spamming mantra every 3 sec i gain burst heals about 5.5K, so its about 1.8k hp/sec.

 

Might need skills that boost spirit gains, so the Fist of Thunder with ThunderClap rune is good (or the gain 15 spirit with each crit rune as well if your crit is about 20-25%).

 

I also invested in gears with LPS, so i have about 1.4kLPS and with 110LPSS and LoH of about 750, i can still survive in Act 2 (tho not farm status yet) ... DPS though suck coz i cant afford a >900DPS weap. Running w sword and board setup... DW if i feel i wana farm act 1.

 

Anyway the farming damn suck now .... nothg of value drops and AH stuff is so blardy inflated.

Just cleared NM skel king for barb and the repetition is getting to me. Probably will take a break before going to lvl60 with this last char.

Don't know what is your expectation, but it is possible to farm items in the 100k - 1 mil range in Act 2.

 

Since i don't craft, I also sell Tome of Secrets and Tome of Jewelcrafting (1000+ / pc)

 

I feel that mid level items around 2500-5000 gold move the fastest, then just slowly accumulate your gold from there.

 

Changing gear is like changing cars as in the 1st purchase is the most painful. Subsequently, you have something to sell off to offset your costs.
