I dont think so - heres the figures for the Beemer

Torque270 Nm / 4500 rpm

Transmission8-speed (A) Steptronic

Acceleration (0-100 km/h) 7.2sec

Top Speed 235km/h

The 3.2 has 322Nm of torque at 4500rpm. Game over - would wizz past beemer as its effing about trying to find a lower gear

the 3.2 did pull away... but

I'd say that the drive train loss on the 159s 4WD and added weight might have slowed him down a little. but if it was on the NSH, I think it would've been a much easier pass.

Take paper specs generally please take it a pinch of salt. I find that sometimes, factory "claimed" numbers are a little off the actual performance. Not too distance past I watched an episode of Fifth Gear and they did a test on 3 vehicles vs the factory claims. There were discrepancy.

Also do note that predominantly Alfa Romeo paper performance figures is known to be under-rated on their actual performance numbers compared to what factory claims as well.

We can debate till the cows come home but we must not forget the biggest factor, the operator behind the wheel and I quote:

"It's the Driver, not the Car".

Hey peeps, just wanna ask, how much does a Novitec Bodykit (full set) cost from Alfa Sportivo for 159, inclusive of paint and installation?

Wanted to get some information before I call them tomorrow. Thanks lol..

Front Lip is est around S$400+ and Side Skirt is est at $650+. I think all in is around $1.5k or more.

Best to call and ask.

Yes too true - but torque will out on rolling acceleration....and this is a no brainer.

btw, you might lose a lot of power and drivability. Power, I don't have proof. but drivability, probably..... esp in daily street conditions... of course the sound from the rpms picking up when moving the spyder will give it a lot of attention though.

And it won't sound like a ferrari or maserati. It will sound like an angry V6.

Without prejudice nor pun intended but why does one choose to get an Alfa and try to make it sound like a Trident or Prancing Horse?

Seen many cases on the roads such as Lancers trying to look and sound like EVO or Civics trying to be a Type R. Till date, I am still puzzled.

Lol. Very funny.

not yet.

I got the rear ones collected.

collecting the front ones this week.

going to attempt to fit them in this week if possible

the GT is a maturation of the 147, and 156 SW.

147 subframe on 156 Chassis, and rear SW set up....

I don't know for sure, but anyways, I've ordered them and will only know if they fit by this week, or if not, when I am back from my next trip...

time is a premium for me at the moment.

oh, short shifter too :P

and various other bits and pieces coming in over the next 3-6 months...

Actually Alfa V6 3.2 is not as good as I expected. Not having the power And pull but it's a beautiful car I must admit

Its got good power... very good power. but very heavy body, more so, in a spider. take a look at the weight of the spider with fuel and passenger..

Given power to weight, the Audis and VWs would perform about the same, look very different, sound very different. and you'll walk back to the spider with a smile :D
