I also don't understand why a guy that drives a FIAT understands much about great car driving sounds.

And luckily he doesn't get it, for he only concentrated on the exhaust.

They should just ring up the people who did the Masers...

http://autolusso.co.uk/workshop/clutch-replacement.html

550 GBP for the clutch? Heard its much cheaper in Singapore, but possibly a longer wait though....

Bro I bought my GTA full clutch kit incl. Pressure, Friction plates and release bearings at 125GBP (not incl. shipping) from Autolusso last yr.

Can't be that far off now. I believe the price shown includes VAT and labour.

The Q2 LSD did cost about 500GBP.

Dun bother looking at the prices on their site.

Just write to [email protected] directly to get the quote for the items you want.

Very helpful chap.

Neutral Newbie

Just posted something similar on the ECU tuning thread, this looks like an ECU remap through the OBD port. Did a remap on my 159 with Monster Tune, did not do a Dyno to meaure the bhp or torque gain but the power delivery is now superb. Pick up is now much faster at low rpm, use to only feel the surge above 3000 rpm.

Hi,

Sounds interesting.

I've been tempted to explore this on the 159 (mainly to eliminate hesitation in 1st gear), but I assumed that it'll be hard to get any significant improvements on the 2.2 NA engine. Plus I also wondered if the Selespeed gearbox can take the additional torque (assuming there has been a genuine increase in torque).

Cheers

had my previous 2.2 tuned before.. it can be tuned for additional power, difference in power delivery, and sensitivity of the throttle.

Don't expect huge increase in numbers, but the increased drivability, and access to the power helps. As it is, the 2.2 is not a slow poke when on the move... the slight addition in torque and hp does give an edge.

Also, I realized, by changing the exhaust system, you could get probably the same amount of power increase, though you will have a different feel in the drivability.

putting both together, you'll get a bit more power, but its not a turbo car, so chasing power might be a rather expensive attempt... :D

HShock,

You interested in buying the STi? We can go shop together. Trust me, after THAT. You need something with MOAR KICK. If not, it'll be the E46 M3. Or the 350Z...

Haha you are right man. But there's already a 350z in the family and there is a plan for a certain Munich model.

Dun get the wrong idea. Both are not funded by me but the spoilt kid gets to drive them

At times.

Maser is definitely my dream car but not a suitable time yet. The funds are required for more

Important things in the next 2yrs.

Furthermore, a car to my financial controller is not a sound investment. So the plan is to fulfill her dreams first before fulfilling mine.

Actually I did this because I read so many reviews for this tuner (Monster Tune) on the VAG forum but as you know most VW and Audi are turbo charged, so higher power gains are easier to achieve... what pushed me over the edge was they had a half price offer ($688) for the 159 remap and they took time to talk me through the process...

You guys must be racers... I did not drag with any other 159 but what I felt was the torque is coming in earlier... FC is slightly better... I usually get 7.5km/l... now its about 8 - 8.2km/L... first week's FC was bad because I was driving like a manic but now that I got use to the early power delivery... I am driving normally... I think they can tabao the Dyno for $200 more but I did not opt for that because I was quite convinced by the reviews I read on VAG forum... or maybe just cheapo...
