If HID is fitted correctly, you won't encounter issues such as blown fuse. A few of us fitted them and never encountered these issues. At most an error stating "Check Headlight" but that is because of a faulty bypass. Otherwise, all is good. Make sure one engages a good installer as they can zero in very quickly on the issues should there be any.

Anyway, all PMs replied.

Until today, I have yet to have to ball to install HID, damn.

Now in retrospect, we know your hid is ok. The problem was elsewhere. Lol.

But anyways, recently chanced upon a "very good" hid installation. So guys please look for a decent installator

Lately I have been having some difficulty in slotting in gears 2,4,6 on my manual 159. Peter advised to spray lubricant on the gear linkage cables - as he was busy with other cars he showed me the area where the cables are. I found 2 cable-like objects to the left/underneath the battery and sprayed a can of silicone lube (which I use for my squeaking wipers) on the cables and the metal pivots they were attached to. The shifting seems to have improved, especially in the mornings when the gears feel the most resistance .. hope it stays that way ^_^

Sigh some a-----e just hit and run on my car again. Terrible scratches near the fuel tank side. Anyone know of any good spray paint shop in Sin Ming (cos near my place) to recommend? Time to buy 4D on my number this weekend. So heng hohoho

Go to City Auto and ask for Jason. They do excellent work

they fixed it well.

I learnt that 3.2 comes with headlight spray is TO COOL THE HID :D But 2.2 does not, so cannot fix HID

No headlight spray is to wash headlights - nothing to do with cooling HID. Otherwise they would all overheat :o

I hardly ever use the headlight washer (comes on with windscreen washer) - maybe 15 - 20 times in two years if that

I thought your car now came with HID as standard.

I was helping to troubleshoot a 159.

I wonder if it has caught fire yet. I used a 2W load resistor instead of a 5W one. Oh well, too busy these days to go SLT.
