why bother.. ours isnt a fast car anyway, so dont bother making it sound or be one..

want fast car, go get EVO and tune it to 400+bhp like my friend's. i think still cheaper than the spider V6.

Sorry, should be either 3.2 or 1.8 since you are looking at short shifter, must be a manual.

Woohoo! Well done... did you get the one from Ubi?

The short shifter install is a lot of work... esp on the GT 3.2

I got mine, but haven't installed it yet.

will probably do it with the rest of the things I got at the same time..

hmm... will have to leave the car for at least half a day or so for all the work to be done.

:D

Yes, the Grey one and a host of problems. Peter tested prior to purchase.

She's going straight to Peter for further review and EO refreshing.

Looking forward to get her on the road ASAP, drive for a while before dwelling into short shifter, lsd etc.

Hope to catch up sometime.

Ah, no wonder. We should catch up, and while you're resolving your host of problems, its usually good to replace with a reliable aftermarket part. unless of course, you'd like to have everything stock, and then replaced more regularly :D

If we could have one of those kopi sessions.... maybe Saturday afternoon if possible. or morning breakfast at killeny kopi tiam in Siglap.. and park the cars in the open air spot, and chit chat.. if its good, I am good for Sat 10am at Siglap :D

Nice drive for those away from the east, and easy location + parking... but please put coupon.....

Somehow, I see quite a number of new owner interested in the small compact 2 + 2 coupe. The 933 spider, Brera and the GT. Accidentally, I was looking thru sgcarmart, I noticed quite a few 916 spider and the forever there GTV. I really like those. Even the car was design made 10+ years ago, it still look fantastic and does not look out of place even again the new spider or Brera. In fact, I think it looks better. It comes wiith the tested and proven Twin Spark 2L or the 3L V6. If you read the history of the twin spark engine, you will noticed that Alfa Rome were the first to developed the twin cam lifting technology (very similar to the VTEC in Honda). And did I mentioned those chrome pipe in the V6  Its an art!

Now, look at the newer generation of Alfa, the GT JTS, 159, spider, Brera, Mito. Yes, it looks really nice, air-con is cold and drives as good but if you pop the bonnet, somehow the art (soul) is not really there.

Then again, I still love my 159 [laugh] cos I don't pop the boonet offen [laugh]

So to those considering a small compact, do take a look at the 916 series of alfa. Save them from scraping and maintain it for me. I hope I can affort one in near future .....

Is it the one at Ubi near the Honda showroom?

Never test drove it but I was asked to look at it for someone.

Eyeballing revealed that all the rubber parts needs replacement. Given the age it's normal.

As your fellow 3.2 GT mentioned, you might want to consider changing those worn out stuff to after market parts if possible.

You sounded like this is not your 1st Alfa? Anyway, be prepared to "suffer" for the next year or so for most of the kinks to be worked out. Otherwise it's going to be a great drive.

Love to meet, but weekends are bad for me, got driver duties for my young CEOs (kids).

Yes, looking to replace with legit parts. Guess the reason why ALFAs are fitted with nominal parts, so that we can have aftermarket options sooner than other makes :P

I'll have to sort out the bare minimum first, get it within reasonably roadworthiness. Then let's meet for coffee and air our cars :)

Best regards.
