Hmm, sorry to hear about that.

I assume you'll be sending in your ride to AS tomorrow to check again.

On average, how much mileage before you'll need recalibrate the Selespeed?

I think if there's no problem, u don't need to calibrate.

mine's 32k, had similar symptoms before that's why I had it checked.

now, its worse.

No need to do it so dangerously.

Any self respecting PROFESSIONAL workshop have this battery pack that will hook up your car to keep the juice going while the battery is changed.

If the workshop just haphazardly removes the battery. You should say goodbye to the workshop forever.

Hint: The distributor of a certain brand even have this device to check the health of your battery and alternator/electrical system. But then it takes an engineer to decode what's good/wrong.

Thanks for the advice. I have seen a small device with a 9 volt battery you can plug in into the cig lighter socket for backup power source during battery change.

I am asking mainly is because I might change out the battery myself.

(edited)

hmm. seems like some have no problem and others have all the problem!!!

i'm used to servicing at the 7.5k mark anyway with any of my previous rides. i do not mind being a bit more attentive to my car, but i definitely do not want to be shocked by sudden huge repair costs.

top speed done on a 159 so far anyone?

Sabre

You have a 125 right? How is the fuel consumption for that 3L engine. Thanks

Yes, it says 6.9 on the display, but the last time I refueled esso 8000 it was 47 litres fore 370km.

Sounds bad. Hope whatever problem will be fixed once and for all. While other car brands have problems, the % is low.

Alfa already has so few cars on the road, and yet. Looks like the QC at the factory is bad. Even though i own one and yet to have any problem, i dont quite agree that the car is reliable. It has a high problematic probability

7.9 per liter.not bad for a 3L. How is your GT doing in terms of consumption

Here's something new that happen, my aircon has been blowing out sort of pieces of grey sponge out. Think it is some filter in there that has worn out. Anyone experienced that?

GT last fill was 55l for 400km

But reality is usually 350 to 370km

125 is usually 350- 370 for 47-48 litres

Worst is 330

Ok, after a spirited week... 311km on 53l.... so its back to 6.0km/l

So all in all, it averages itself out.

It's the insulation inside, not the filter. But it's a good idea to change the filter yearly.

For the grey foam insulation, you got to take care. It has a tendency to spill out a lot if your passenger is some impt guest.

When i unlock the door using the remote and eventually opened the driver door, there is a whining sound in the cabin that goes on for a short while before going out. Is it normal? Been itching to ask around but when i send car for servicing, no body had point out anything as well. so i am assuming that it is normal =p

The sound is there even without starting engine. [confused]
