Cougar3331 Neutral Newbie July 10, 2012 Share July 10, 2012 They do not have speed camera like SG. they normally deploy along straight roads where people can chiong easily and with lesser exits. they uses portable infrared system to capture.
macrosszero Turbocharged July 10, 2012 Share July 10, 2012 Keep within the speed limit the first time you are going up. Pay attention to where the speed traps are. Get a MalSingMaps map for your GPS and it will help you some. There is a reason why there is a speed limit, driving at high speed and long distance has its dangers. Once you are more familiar, then you can take your chances, good luck to you. By the way, don't assume that darkness is a good cover for speeding. Their cameras work at night too. Tarquin 1st Gear July 10, 2012 Share July 10, 2012 My Nuvi 1350 everytime I go NSHW will warn me of speed camera's ahead or speed limit required...loaded with MSM maps...but not sure where they physically are...I just take note of overhead bridges and I maintain speed limit... So far last time I checked I'm still summon free..

Xmen2 Clutched July 14, 2012 Share July 14, 2012 Hi guys care to share after Tuas checkpoint to KL or Genting highlands Where usually this TP speed camera are placed along the NSH?? Will be great help too for those 1st timer who wish to travel up the NSH Heard the MY police had invested millions of $$ in high tech speed cameras, and placed them along the NSHW. I normally drive to KL via 2nd link, in my recent trips, I didn't notice any road blocks like those in the past. Last month, logged onto myreg and checked, realised i got an overdue speeding ticket of RM200 which was issued in Apr 2012 . So maybe we can compile a list of potential locations of speed cameras and share the knowledge: 1) Kajang, just before reaching KL, about 20 - 30 km from KL i think, got the location from the above speeding ticket, speed limit for that stretch is 90km/h. WML888 2nd Gear July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 Hi guys care to share after Tuas checkpoint to KL or Genting highlands Where usually this TP speed camera are placed along the NSH?? Will be great help too for those 1st timer who wish to travel up the NSH 1) From Singapore 2nd Link, all the way until you join the NSHW from JB (the last Toll where you scan you touch-and-go, no fees deducted). Most of the time, is road block. 2) Along NSHW, near Yong Peng area, Johor/Melaka state border area. Slow down every time you are about to pass by overhead bridge (especially the ones right after exit). If you are caught at road block, don't forget to ask if there is anymore speeding trap in front... 3) Spot for white Lancer EVO, highway petrol car normally drive slow at left lane, waiting for speeders... 4) Ordinally police car, parked below overhead bridge. Slow down when you spot it, they will not chase you (unlike white Lancer EVO), but will jot down your car no. Overall, best not to exceed 120km/hour (along 110km/hour zone). If needed, speed safely. If caught, accept it politely and ask for a ticket. Happy driving !!! ↡ Advertisement
