Why invest in London?

1. Strong Demand for London properties, and lack of supply, means upward pressure on prices

2. London will be achieve full conversion to the yuan by 2016, meaning more Chinese investor funds will flow into London after 2016, meaning property prices will be pushed up.

Sorry to revive an old thread.

Will like to find out if anyone managed to secured a mortgage here recently for London property for staying? I asked a few local banks and all will only give out loan for investment in property and not for staying.

I have not spoken to any bank in the UK cos I do not think they will give out loan to someone with no recent credit history in the country.

TS, this is a rich man game. You are putting money where you don't get to see frequently or know what is going on.

However, if you do have spares to park. Yes, major cities are good investment. Do make sure the location and the developer are reputable. Anyway, if you are rich, some poor investments are OK. Average out, still no problem right?
