With the difference in rebate, it make no sense not to adopt.

It makes no sense to adopt as there is no encouragement nor motivation… once the EV maturity of ownership experience is saturated, there will be a deluge of ICE owners rushing in

at this point in time .. the campaign by workshop owners are strong. So are ICE owners who regularly commute to JB to get cheap petrol..

I see the uptick is so much stronger than 1 year ago.

We have another EV convert soon here.

In China, seller needs gimmicky UI to attract buyer.

On the other hand, the rest of the world don't need gimmicky UI.

Just like TB vs AMZ UI.

Excellent analogy! Lol

I wonder if these researchers understand the issues faced by the conti EVs.. if they really believe they are the equal of the Chinese EVs and it's all down to politics, then good luck to them..

No love for honda hybrid cars? I thought their integration of ICE and electric was well rated?

With Hybrid always match with CVT.

Honda CVT is worst than Toyota.  I cannot tahan Toyota CVT during my rental car RAV4 2.5 Hybrid in late June. Making all the noise

Felt that my XT CVT is so much better.  Felt so much less CVT especially driving in sport mode which I drive 95% if the time.

In short, the germans don't understand the chinese market, every market is different.

For local market, only folks like many of us in MCF still value a car's drive feel and power. The rest of the SG market only look at size and brand, nothing else matters.

Honda hybrid has no gb even though it says CVT.

Actually, the support Chinese if you are Chinese has made a great impact to the china society. Although some still feel the stiffer of govt intervention.

I also thought about this.

my petrol is about $500. Switch to EV maybe $100.

Save $4800 per year, $48k over 10 years.

But if I sell my car now and buy a 200k EV, I upfront pay 80k more.

So I scrapped the thought and continue to pollute the world.

It not wrong.. ICE is still more convenient and has ease of accessibility to petrol pumps.

only wild card is the Geo politics that’s causing fuel prices to escalate

A lot of strawberry generation love the Tesla, because to them can own a Tesla is very in thing.

For lao uncle like me, cannot tahah it minimise design, zero button. Everything through the big touch screen.

Interior also doesn't look luxury to me.

If you don’t mind non OTA update , drum brakes in a $200k EV and a laggard in the EV industry, this is a worth while consideration with Xmas round the corner
