Electric cars

With the latest VES 2021 A1 rebate at 25k, means total rebate for EV is up to 45K 😬.

EV prices theoretically should drop 25k, most likely best 15k after dealer Jiak.

This put the cheapest EV now below 100k at current COE prices.

Exciting times ahead with Tesla coming in as well.

My dream car, BYD Han EV. July of this year, it has been listed in China and is a competitor of Tesla.

I think only Band B is worth it. Band A1 and A2 only get rebate from own ARF, in the end PARF lost it as well. Not sure if dealer will pass down the rebate to the consumers.

Highly doubt so. Your own ARF gets affected, which in turn affects your PARF. Then the dealer smiling to the bank as they now have a 5k extra margin.

Dealer extra margin means

They will bring more in and push more sales.

We want to sell the most profitable.

Whether green or not so this policy works.

:D

BYD M3e is the cheapest electric car currently available in Singapore, but it is modified from BYD T3, which is a Van Car.

I look forward to BYD Song Max Ev and BYD Han EV even more.

According to SgCarmart’s information, Song Max Ev will come to Singapore Q4 of 2020.

With a lower the parf, it is actually more attractive to renew coe. Cause the amount forgone is very little.
not sure what LTA is thinking. I foresee extra cost to renew coe past 10years in the future.

Better for the environment and pockets. Scrapping our underused cars at 10 year old is very wasteful.

But LTA IRAS loses $$. KPI affected. GST, customs duty and ARF amounts are lost, by not having new cars bought. 😃
