Didae Neutral Newbie July 10, 2012 Share July 10, 2012 Hi bro, yes they can. In fact, all workshops can do regular servicing. It's only a matter of how fast they do it, how affordable it is to your pocket and how attentive they are, especially when some workshops just do what they are told and don't even take the initiative to top up water and do the necessary checks. You can try them out bro, just google for their addresses. What works well for me might not work as well for you though, so I can't comment much except to encourage you to try them out for yourself. Hope I managed to help you out, cheers ↡ Advertisement

Nerrad19 Neutral Newbie December 21, 2012 Share December 21, 2012 Sorry to hijack this thread. I'm staying near Sin Ming and looking for recommended good workshop too. My recent bought 2nd hand Honda Accord JDM is at 600rpm when idling and caused some vibration. No big issue but feel uncomfotable. My current workshop clean car throttle but problem persist. He say engine mounting still ok. Any recommended experience workshop mechanic specialize on the mentioned problem? Thanks inadvance.

rottweiler Neutral Newbie September 2, 2014 Share September 2, 2014 I noticed that this is your one and only post for close to 2 years. Not sure if you are related to the workshop. I was surfing the web for feedback on MJ Automobile, and chanced on this old thread. Let me share with you my recent experience with MJ Automobile. Last month, I was at MJ to repair a smoke-emission problem. I have just failed my annual vehicle check (mine is a diesel van), and I simply went to the nearest workshop, which happens to be MJ. The boss - a certain Michael - "remedied" the problem, and he drove my van for the recheck, and apparently, it cleared the test. Guess what? In less than a month, my van was caught by a camera for smoke-emission! I went back to MJ early in the morning, and he told me that there was no guarantee, and that even if he repaired the van now, I could still be caught in 2 weeks' time. I was left with only 2 days before I had to go to vicom for another check. So I said ok, please help with the smoke problem, and do a regular servicing for the van. I then passed my key to MJ. Now, the following are the issues that I subsequently encountered: 1) Lack of responsibility. MJ told me before I left that my van is ready for collection at 3pm on the same day. He even wrote the timing on a piece of paper which he passed to me. But when I went back there at 5pm, my van was not repaired at all. In fact, their personnel drove my van to the roadside, which clearly meant that they remembered my van, but decided to chunk it aside. I did not even receive a phonecall from MJ. If they did not want to repair my van, they could have just said so and I can go to another workshop. 2) Unethical conduct. When I went to another workshop the next day, I understood what MJ did in their so-called "repairing" of my van. They basically "cleared" my exhaust pipe by blowing air and rinsing it with water. By doing this, it's possible that my van can clear the test, but within a day or two, the smoke will be back. MJ did not bother to look into the root cause of the problem, which was a leak in one of the oil pipes. And the thing is that their so-called clearing of the exhaust pipe by air-blowing and water-rinsing wouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes! And to think that MJ wanted to charge me $80 for such a task. The above is my encounter with MJ Automobile. I will definitely not return. Maybe fellow bros have some positive experiences there, but this is my side of the story. Hi there, the boss, Michael Low, does speak English and Mandarin too (and a bit of Malay).
