Hi all,

Need help to find this Kumho tyre - KU36 - 225/45 R17.

Currently on 215/45 R17 as there was no stock for the 225.

Seems quite hard to find any shops selling this size for this brand since last year.

Also appreciate any recommendation for any other tyres similar to KU36 for wear rate and grip. Noise not an issue.

Price preferably below $250 per piece for size 225/45 R17.

Thanks!

with this 225/45/17 i think there is tons of choice in the market if your budget is $250 and below

why not you can consider back to 215/45/17 i think got 1 tyre pirelli p-zero nero cost around $220 is quite a good buy

used to be on ku36 1.5 years ago

235 45 17.

it is v noisy for me for street use.

Thks for the feedback!

They are indeed noisy. The noisiest tyres I have used thus far but surprisingly my family can still fall asleep while on the road, so still acceptable [laugh]

The dry grip's very good and I have tracked with it before without much wear hence find them value for money.

Didn't know Uncle Frankie have stock for them again.

That's cheap for $160. I got them at $175/pc and for 215/45 profile only.

Seems like only Hankook meet my budget if not for KU36.

Thanks for the feedback!

Clutched

Recently was recommended KH31 by the tyre shop.

Did some research online and indeed quite positive reviews on noise. Intending to get a set in my next tyre change.

Any bros here on these rubbers and would like to feedback?

Thanks bro for your suggestion.

Did read the good reviews and the price is quite attractive from TyrePac.

Still more comfortable with tried and tested brand though.

Cheers!

[laugh]

I know I'm maybe too stingy with wanting one that is cheap, good for track and long lasting.

But so far KU36 quite fits the bill though the wet performance a bit not up to par with most street UHP. It also squeals a lot in tight carpark turns.

Thanks bro!

Roger that.

I already received some PMs offering me quite good prices for the tyres you mentioned.

Will look for you if I'm going for those.

Just an update: Found the KU36 225/45R17 at Eng Wah Tyre Batt at Toa Payoh Industrial Park.

Please Google for their contact and call them for price.

Not promoting for them, just that KU36 not easy to find so hope this info is helpful.

Cheers!
