Amazing shine @ first center is really the worst groomming shop i ever went.

AVOID AT ALL COST. unless u want to prep the surface for a respray [:p]

instead of gromming my car, it had turned out to be a sandpaper session.

the paint surface are badly scratch. the car looks worst than when it came in.

yes there is no dirt on the surface but the surface looks like matt finish now.

AVOID AT ALL COST.

*Also they try hard to upsell... [bigcry]

Yes. Plus they did not pick up appointment call and CLOSE SHOP without informing the members who have purchased the polishing membership.

[furious]

I went down once and noticed that it is called "Exotic Shine" instead of "Amazing Shine"

Although I know the thread is on Amazing Shine, just wanted an opinion on GLARE.

Was quoted $238 for grooming with 1 free SPA session and also warranty for 18mths.

Any bros here who have used them and how are they compared to other Groomers??

Clutched

Haiz nowadays grooming centres close/open/change name faster than changing underwear. [rolleyes]

It seems like the exotic shine and amazing shine are still run by the same pple. Just changed name only! The whole layout of the shop space is identical and even the lounge too (based on Facebook pics)

i signed up a package with GLARE when i just got my car 2 years ago. it's not as big deal as they cook it up to be. the "smooth surface feel" was gone after 2-3 car washes. bird droppings and other stuffs that got stuck on the paint feels equally difficult to remove as before.

what disappointed me was during the first follow up session, they left a palm-sized patch of hardened mud under the back bumper untouched. they just polished "around it" as the mud was really hard and not easily removed even by spraying water on it. i know because i tried removing it before but was unsuccessful. when they handed over the car after the session, they kept quiet about it as they probably thought i wasn't aware of the mud patch in the first place as it was on the underside of the bumper.

thereafter, i just finished up my remaining sessions with them and brought my money somewhere else.
