i was deciding between this (the V7) and either the BS S001 or Eagle F1 Asymetric 2..

V7 cost $150 while the other 2 cost $200+ per corner..

In the end went for the UHP tires..

edit: My tire size is 215/45/17..

Good price for V7! Where did you get this price with your profile?

BTW the s001 and eagle f12 ? and V7 i will pick the f1a2.

otherwise i will go for BS 002 or pirelli P7 or 6 if you are on little budget.

Any problem to use 2 different types of tires for both front and rear?

In case of accident, any problem claiming? Just curious... :)

I'm also curious how you're able to determine whether accident is caused by tyres ? [confused]

Any Review Haha, Was introduce by wk shop for Alantis D7 tyre, Said to be develop together with Toyo.

Light on pocket too.

Very few write up on this tyre, Not even in http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk

How does it perform comparing to T1R?

Hope someone can provide some details, My current tyre left approx 0.5mm or so to hit the 1.6mm groove le, need changing soon. kee kee ;D

I've brought the Alantis V7 le, Since no review so just give it a try lol,

Tyre Size 195/55/15

Comparing to T1R, the steering is lighter [i prefer a heavier steering =( ] and the road noise is lesser. Side wall is stronger too. Need 230 Kpa for front and 220 Back,

Straight line Grip wise so so, still spin when launch at 2K+ rpm.

So far the only strong point for this tyre is comfort and good pricing

Well since its advertised as a performance tyre, I expect more out of it in the field of performance.

Have yet to test the wet, e braking, Rolling resistant and cornering grip. I will update more once I've time to test it and to compare the average mileage.

Well After using for 4 mths, Here's a summary of the Tyre

Wet

- Crap in wet. wheel spin on the spot when rpm above 1.5k. Spin when crossing the white painted line when move off. After washing car in carpark, car almost can't brake in time to clear the hump. Abs kicks in but yet car still moves.

- Can feel steering pulling to a side at 5k rpm in 2nd gear. Feels like the tyres are slipping. (No such feeling in the dry)

- Water cutting properties not too bad, Can't feel much pull when passing light puddle of water at 70km/h. Starts to feel some pull from the steering wheel when above 80km/h.

Dry

- Nothing much to complain abt. Suitable for normal everyday driving. Can push the tyres a bit but can feel the under steer.

Not much different for FC comparing to the T1R

Wear Rate is much better compare to the T1R.

Side wall is slightly soft (But still better then T1R), Need to pump 240kpa front 230kpa back.

Tyre Seems to be able to hold air for quite some time, lose only abt 5-10 Kpa / mth.

Road noise is slightly reduced compare to the T1R

Over all verdict. - Suitable for normal driving only, Be extra careful in wet weather.

Will take T1R over Atlantis V7 anytime. =P

I changed to this over the weekend. 215/45R17. If not for a horrible puncture, I would not have changed tyres until much later. The tyres are still scrubbing in so I'm driving gently until I hit the 1K mark. I was thinking of Champiro HPY as well but then decided on this. Probably will try Champiro HPY when this set is done.

Size: 215/45R17 87W

UTQG: 280 A A (Threadwear, Traction, Temperature)

Max pressure: 300KPA (if I didn't see wrong, other tyres I used are all 350KPA max pressure)

First impressions

Construction: Sidewall is on the soft side

Noise: Virtually nothing on normal roads. Muffled hum on expressways with rough surface type (i.e. KJE)

Grip: Not too bad. Will test out cornering at higher speeds after 1K scrub in

Aquaplaning: Non existent at low speeds (60/70kph). Will update when I get a chance to test at high speeds on expressways

Steering feel: At 240KPA, pretty good. Tyre pressure does affect steering feel so it is subjective to individual feel

I traded in this set of tires after 2 weeks of use. Reason, I felt that the steering feel is too light. I've replaced with PS3 since and I'm happy with it so far. :)

PS3 is a different grade of tyres and at least 30% more expensive, of course you have to be happy with it [laugh]

Ok, I was just kidding about the happy part. Not the price though.

Anyway what's your take on the V7 after 2 weeks usage? I can live with light steering feel, not a big issue. I'm more concerned about the grip (dry/wet) and aquaplaning resistance.

Another user above me gave it a damning review. I want to hear from you.
