When the ambulance arrived, the female driver stripped naked and and laid down on the road to block the paramedics from sending the victims to the hospital. The daughter was pronounced dead at the hospital while the mother was left in a critical condition. The driver, Mrs Zhang, was said to be a lecturer at a local junior medical college, specialising in Traditional Chinese medicine and used to teach anatomy and psychiatry. Ironically, witnesses talked about how emotionally unstable she was before and more so after the accident, being rough to her own injured mother who was in the car with her at the time.
