Even with reverse sensor I still make sure i check the mirror visually before moving. U never know if its spoil.

Talking about sensors, I have seen car with all around sensors and route departure warning sensor. Really all well covered .

dsg sucks, cos can hear their ENGINE TRY VERY HARD TO UP rpm...and furthermore transmission lag...and then over boost..haha..can see outside of the car....revving got power when driver want smooth turbo up..sorry..cannot control over revving, engine lag...never try at ad(autodealer), hear and see driver on the road can tell, they struggling to master the engine...4000rpm 4.5k then change gear correct..my guess..is boom very long then..change gear....then power overpower abit..is alot! not enuf braking response time....response..means ball to pedal and stop.

 

then the park assist, what if a gangster reverse faster than the no hand one...then can detect? and will it stop..? gangster can claim the park assist through legal fight...cos gangster is workshop boss hahaha......

 

some people park 3 secs normal adjacent parking, some drift into parallel lot somemore in 1 sec.china man video.(car is mini cooper)

 

when the car park assist..bang someone price champ...DOG la.....then how...compensate with bitch??? how to compensate a life.....?

 

remember the estima reverse into her child cos cannot see the reverse....haha...BUY PARK ASSIST TO KILL PEOPLE WITH LICENCE...just say you" park assist " lols...can kill old people...young kids...and blur people like me......haha your hubby...and either your wife.

 

anything that can relax the judgement eg. alcohol..park assist ..cruise control..ICE...in car entertainment...driving with one hand and another on the phone and talking.....same category...unless the designer has no public law awareness...cos 3rd brain too high already...design 1st class....reality? damn dangerous...cat on the loose..haha..car on the loser..than bye bye liao...

 

and also the advert shows NO CLASS. DECEIT on the lose...why? cannot find parking lot...wait lols...or face kanna scratch..by people walking by..SOO simple...i kanna people park no give my right back..but i never scratch..but real situation...PEOPLE SCRATCH...esp haha PARK ASSIST...buy to ANGER other road user, bang people...what safety feature..double edge sword....can prevent can create...but probabilities are POOR DRIVERS are attracted to buy this car...haaaaaa Good driver? then the road got POT HOLE??? or the sewer cover got stolen...u never know...cos YOUR BRAIN RELAX already...

 

relaxing the brain is not the criteria of driving....take on the responsibility responsibly...

 

if this post garner hate...then it will say one thing....park assist is Dangerous...cos haven drive got road rage already...dun bye.

It's an old tech. We've got this feature on our 6yrs old Prius in the uk. It's design for woman.

when such park assist feature getting more common, maybe LTA will consider having another class 3 license category - Class 3APA .. can only drive Auto cars with Park Assist Then their driving courses exclude learning how to park !

Have seen many cases where people rely on their reverse sensor or camera and then hit something. For the reverse sensor I saw someone never notice his sensor spoilt so he just reverse straight into the wall. For reverse Camera many of them forget to look at the sides and end up hitting the side of the car beside them.

 

GPS was reported in the news that many drivers rely on it so much that the GPS leads them to the wrong place or direct them against traffic flow and they blindly follow. Some people also keep concentrating on their GPS rather than the road.

 

That is why my preference still goes to the car which has as many mechanical parts as possible as compared to electronic parts.

Agreed. Cannot rely totally on sensors or other electronic stuff.

 

Human's five senses and it assessment of situation and circumstances is still the best at times.

You go and see the number of complaints there. Not just 7 speed dsg, the service centre sucks too.

Lol, realy so bad ar?! Looks like afterall the "atas" VW 7 speed DSG not that impressive at all?! I think maybe even i buy a 6 speed korea car also can win the 7 speed DSG.

 

Anyway, i dont find park assist useful la, even those reverse sensor and reverse camera.

All the more she can't use this feature. She will lose her parking skill. Tell her what if she change to another car without this feature later.
