What gives an non approved exhaust away

For 5 year old cars and above, the cats already dirty like f**k and sure got exhaust smell.

Go STA actually sure fail sensor test, but when they look at your original cats and exhaust, they will pass you, reasoning that it is an old car after all.

So smell alone is not conclusive.

one question? can the LTA guys hear ur exhaust when they are wearing their helmets and riding behind you...sorry i never wore a motorbike helmet before. I am not talking about those loud exhaust you can FEEL 2 blocks away but just louder than usual.

I know that when ty pull up beside some cars at the traffic lights, the drivers wil switch off their engines. Hahaha.

LTA officers have very well trained eyes n ears hor.

Even legal exhaust, if loud, and you're blowing, will attract TP attention. The difference is that you have the cert to tell them to get lost.

But ty can still make yr life miserable by asking u to go for inspection.

its the brassy sound that improves the bhp (needs good imagination + self denial + lots of conviction)

if quiet, might as well don't mod.

old thread but... this sentence is [thumbsup]

Who doesn't like the bassy sound...

guys I need help here.

I just bought this exhaust tip for my Porsche cayman.

Instructions says that its a direct bolt on after removing my stock exhaust tip.

It looks abit big as the exhaust tip has to be connected to a pipe.

is this legal in Singapore?

If it is bolt on, it is legal. However, bolt on connection may become loose over time. It should also be fine if the tip is welded but not touching the muffler/silencer.

The above is based on my own experience. To be 100% certain, clarify the issue with LTA.
