Thank you for your concern. I am fine with Internet bullet holes as long as there is none on my body or my loved ones or my precious car.

If there are people out there dumb enough to admit to exceeding the speed limit of 90km/h in an open forum, that says quite a lot about their intelligence. Or lack of.

Cheers

If you want to stick to law, keep left, buses and lorry going at speed limit on the left lane, what are you doing on the right lane doing 90 km/hr?

Maybe that car has an emergency.

Your left lane is clear, Keep to the slow lane or Get out.

Road hog still deny. Please don't blame the type/price/model of car, it could have been any other car very simply because there was a gap between you and the car infront.

Want to drive leisurely or not in a rush, please stay on 2nd lane. No one will fault you then.

Challenging others to own up that they have indeed travelled at speeds above the speed limit before owning up to your own mistake = Not a real man.

I do overtake on the left as well sometimes when I am in a rush, but making sure the driver I am overtaking knows I am there is fundamental to keeping the manuvere safe for the both of us (flash high beam, toot the horn etc). And always keep a safe distance door to door.

The first 20~30 seconds of the video shows the speed & density of the traffic that day (moderate), I was actually already travelling slightly faster than the traffic in the middle and the left lanes. There was a bus in the middle lane which was just filtering back to the left lane when that Beemer sensed the opening and went for it, he was in a mad rush and going at least 120-130, overtaking other vehicles in the same reckless manner all the way.

This is a good reason why I will never reveal what make/model/type of car I am driving, it is fun watching some of these people jump to their conclusion how "jealous" I must be of the Beemer's performance [;)]

It is very interesting that most of the response here are aganist me, well, when this kind of crap happens to them, and when the overtaking idiot really does clip their bumpers and spins them around or into the guardrail, remember what they posted here today.

Many people don't realize a "tap" on the bumper at speed (90~100km/h) can easily induce loss of control for both vehicles involved, causing both to crash into the guardrail and turn turtle etc.

Drive safe my brother :D

Sometimes i also overtake from the left if i see the car in front is already going fast (ie at legal speed limit) but i need to go faster. So instead of waiting or, worst, flashing my lights to tell him my intention, i just do a left-quickie but not the way like this guy coming so close to your rear. If i get caught by TP for overtaking from the left, i accept responsibility.

Thank you, I will be more careful next time.

I was always watch my rearview mirror, I noticed him about 2 seconds before he passed coming in very hot (fast) in my lane (right lane). In other words, he was "held up" by me for all of 1~2 seconds before he decided to overtake me on the left, nearly clipping me in the process. He did not wait at all "for an appropriate opportunity to pass me". If he overtook cleaning on the middle or left lane, I have totally no problems with that, I take issues in the fact he nearly clipped me.

I stand firm that my actions do not constitute road hogging by any defination of the term.

This will be my last post in this thread.

Cheers

Well if he came very close to your car, that means that he was tailgating.

Don't worry about such people. Perhaps he's rushing off somewhere and was looking for an appropriate opportunity to pass you.

From the video evidence, it is clear that you were road hogging.

The inner lanes (2 and 3) had remained clear for quite sometime and yet you were on your nonchalant weekend mood, insisting to remain on the overtaking lane.

Who were you (still) overtaking to deserve the right to remain at lane 1 at that speed? Ghost cars issit, on your way to hell?

If the Beemer had remained behind you and flashed at you to move aside, would you have graciously done that? Otherwise, cut all your crap explanations given above.

You are just a sore-loser Singaporean driver, like many we see in MY's NSH ... insisting to remain on lane 1 all the time, regardless of their speed, or road condition.

Totally zero road manners.

Pui!

Road Hogger! Period! It is ppl like TS who give Sg drivers a bad name.

Is it soooooo difficult to keep to the middle lane and leave the Right lane for overtaking??

I dunno if this could be called road hogging. But if TS is keeping 1 car per 10kmh, it probably not wrong, n sometimes we might not chk our rearview mirror dat regularly, n car fr behind traveling so much faster.

I think the bm has no such need to "threaten" by performing such acts. Mayb he tried to show handling prowess of bm?

I think ppl who have negative remarks should think if they always so "on" to check rear view mirror n consciously make effort to stay mid lane. We can't be 100% all the time.

It is as obvious as day and definitely does not constitute calling names on the other driver, although the spelling is dissimilar.

Nevertheless, if you feel you have not learnt your lesson, i hope you can have days of accident free and non-confrontation the rest of your life!

And as you have requested, it can be done, but I leave your own discretion and pettiness to decide.

You have the power over your own account, we are not here to mollycoddle you into any decision

As drivers, you should be cognicient of the surroundings. That constitutes one of the safety behaviors expected of drivers. If that simple task cannot be taken into consideration, consider other means of transportation where there would not be the need of situational awareness and the like.

When I get into my car seat, i always ensure that my surroundings are clear, ALWAYS!
