Dont install your new tires upfront?

the example is kinda extreme.

when we changed our tyres, we changed four together and every 10,000km, we just do a rotation, wheel balancing and maybe wheel alignment. this will be okay and yet prolong your tyres lifespan.

You are not speaking for everyone are you?

I don't change all 4 at once everytime.

Not when there's no need to.

Thank TS.

And u all believe an advertisement from a tyre company! Front tyres will always go botak first in FWD....so the likelyhood of changing the front 1st (for those that dont do rotation like somevpple i know) is high. But if u always change ur tyres all 4 together there wont be a problem if u do the rotation.

Remind me I should really Swap my tires. But I am too lazy, as 4 months later, I need to change back. Now I just drive slowly...

Gonna do it tomorrow.

Just read on the net, better change before risking a blowout. I am still on my winter tires...(Summer tires in basement) [:p]

I do rotations regularly, hence changing all 4 everytime, but there's a lot who don't, will still change only 2 and mostly the newer tyres are mounted front.

If you can feel the front tyres losing tration first, its much easier to correct control den the back losing traction which is very true.

I reckon its meant for both fwd and rwd.

Forget about the so call wax over new tyre surface.... Im not too sure of that. But 1 thing for sure, the owner is not familiar with the characteristic of the new tyre... so, it is always safer to "run in" the tyre 1st. During the run in period, drive slower and keep longer distance from the car infront. Thats what I practice after getting into an accident after my new firenza tyre fitted to my previous elantra...

Supersonic

That's release agent. Used to ease out new tyres from molds.

They are slippery and always good advice to "run-in" till the release agents are gone.
